That marks the end of our coverage from the 21st match of the WBBL 09 between Adelaide Strikers Women and Sydney Sixers Women where the Adelaide Strikers Women  clinched a comfortable victory with 5 wickets and 17 balls remaining.

For now, this is Saptak Sanyal taking your leave on the behalf of my co-commentator Deepak Prakash and our scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. Don't go anywhere as we are coming up with the coverage of plenty of matches today. Switch your tabs to follow the second WBBL game of the double header today and also the Cricket World Cup match between Netherlands and Afghanistan.
Anesu Mushangwe- "I am happy with the way we are coming out in every match. Result are going in our favour and sometimes it is not going in our favour but we are coming out with confidence.

.I am bowling in the important overs in the powerplay and power surge and I am taking the challenge on a positive note.

It is a dream come true moment for me to play in the WBBL coming from Zimbabwe. I played a few years in local cricket and then moved to England then I played some cricket in the Australia before coming in this tournament.

I am happy with the way we batted and bowled in the game today."

2:20 PM IST, 16:50 Local Time: A comprehensive victory for the defending champions, Adelaide Strikers Women as they thumped two-time champions Sydney Sixers Women by 5 wickets with 17 balls to spare.

Earlier, after being invited to bat first, Sydney Sixers Women posted a mere 111/6 in 20 overs. They got off to a shaky start and lost wickets in quick succession. Maitlan Brown was the top scorer for the Sixers, as she remained unbeaten on 32 runs off 28 balls and helped her side post a respectable total. On the other hand, the Strikers' bowlers were very impressive with the ball today, as they bowled in the right areas and conceded only three runs in the 2-over power surge. Amanda-Jade Wellington and Anesu Mushangwe shared a couple of wickets for the Strikers, while Danielle Gibson contributed one wicket.

In pursuit of a paltry 111 runs, Adelaide Strikers Women lost Laura Wolvaardt for just 5 runs off 3 balls. Katie Mack and Tahlia McGrath started building the partnership, and the duo scored at a brisk pace and took the game far away from the Sixers. The pair added 77 runs for the second wicket, with McGrath departing for 36 runs off 29 balls. Mack notched up her half-century but failed to bat till the end and departed straightaway after completing her fifty. The Strikers lost a few wickets in quick succession at the cue end but managed to cross the line with 5 wickets in hand and 17 balls to spare.

Lauren Cheatle and Ashleigh Gardner shared a couple of wickets for the Sixers, while Chloe Tryon contributed one wicket.

So, the Strikers win by 5 wickets and now they move top of the points table.
17.1 E Burns to Neil
4 Fourrr and that's the winning run for the Adelaide Strikers Women!! Erin Burns came to bowl her first over and dropped a back of length delivery at the middle stump that turned outside the leg stump. Annie O'Neil went on her backfoot and pulled the ball through to the left of the deep square leg fielder to score a boundary. With that, Adelaide Strikers Womens wins the match by 5 wickets and 17 balls remaining.

16.3 Tryon to G Adams
W WICKET! In the air and has been taken! Flighted delivery on the stumps. Adams looks to whack it over the deep mid-wicket but fails to generate enough power on it. The ball flies towards deep mid-wicket and the fielder in the deep makes no mistake.
16.2 Tryon to D Gibson
1 Back of a length delivery outside off. Gibson cuts it to backward point for a single.
16.1 Tryon to G Adams
1 Around the wicket. Drops the ball short outside off. Adams hangs back and cuts it to cover point for a single.
