Umar Amin (Winning Captain of Northern:- "I never thought the target was unachievable. Yes, we gave away 20 runs extra. 175 is what we would have wanted to restrict. So, we have to work on our bowling up front so that we get early wickets. The batting order needs to change now with Haider Ali going as well. We need to improve our bowling to get wickets be more incisive with our thinking. Batting is going well but there is always room for improvement. We are happy with the 2 points and will strive to get even better from here."
Wahab Riaz (Losing Captain of Central Punjab) :- "195 was a great total. We should have defended that total. A lot of dropped catches. Plus my 19th over going for 20 was the decisive moment in the game. We bowled badly, lacked variations, not acceptable. Spinners tried, too much to ask. "
Amir Jawal is Man of the Match for his 3 wickets in 4 overs. "Sohail helped me to go through the overs with experience. I used my variations and hit the hard length and troubled the batsmen.
Central Punjab should have got more than 200, but they couldn't. Ali Imran played well for his 58. Haider Ali contributing as usual and celebrating a late call up to the Pakistan National T20 side. Central Punjab had it covered, but the experienced Wahab Riaz was taken to the cleaners by Rohail Nazir and Jamal. Central Punjab stay on 10 points after 9 games.
