So, that is it from me, Karthik Raj and co-commentators, Akshay Bhide and Sourya. Join OneCricket's coverage of the BBL tomorrow and beyond
Josh Lalor, Man of the match: Very comfortable win for us in the end. We got players who can chip in with many roles and we saw that today. Plenty of options and variety, just shows the depth we've got. Shaun Marsh made a tough run-chase look like a walk in the park. No rest, we will be back here tomorrow afternoon, and hopefully we get another win.
The duo of Fawad Ahmed and Jhye Richardson bowled well but Shaun Marsh continued to dominate the bowling. The BBL legend reached his fifty off 38 balls and looked in great touch as Renegades came within touching distance off the total. Jhye Richardson did dismiss Marsh in the 17th over but it was too late in the piece. The pacer then bowled a wide down the leg-side to complete the match
The pitch certainly wasn't straight-forward but a target of 131 was never going to be enough against this Melbourne Renegades batting line-up. The experienced duo of Shaun Marsh and Aaron Finch started positively as they went after the Perth Scorchers bowling. Left-arm Jason Behrendorff got the ball to jag off the pitch but Finch kept trying to put him off his lengths. Finch did fall in the 9th over but not before stitching a 70-run partnership for the opening wicket
Sourya: Now that is what we call a comprehensive victory. The Renegades were the better team in all the departments and deservedly wins this one by seven wickets. Scorchers need to go back to the drawing board big time.
16.4 Jhye Richardson to Jake Fraser-McGurk
WD Wide. That's it. Over. Pitches it short and it is angled down the legs. Batsman misses it and keeper takes it. But it is an extra. That's the game for Renegades.
16.3 Jhye Richardson to Jake Fraser-McGurk
0 Yorker length on off stump driven to cover fielder.
16.2 Jhye Richardson to Shaun Marsh
W Gone! Richardson keeps it straight and fast and Marsh misses it trying to work it away. Clean bowled. Great innings comes to an end on the cusp of victory.
16.1 Jhye Richardson to Rilee Rossouw
1 Full on the leg stump, flicked away to mid wicket for one. Scores tied.
