That's it from our coverage of match number 67 of the Indian Premier League 2024. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Deepak Prakash and Akshay Bhide alongside scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world.
Nicholas Pooran (Player of the Match): "First of all, thanks to Jesus. Personally, I felt I had to do my job. Whatever the situation, you have to find a way. In Lucknow, it was tough with big boundaries. But I have been playing in these situations and just using the experience and making it count.

I have batted at number 3,4,5,6,7. But if I have to choose, I like the powerplay as well. I can't choose. I can bat at any position and that's my strength. I can hit the spinners and I like to do those things for my team.

As I said, I'm just blessed. I have had the second chance to play this game. Eight years ago, when I suffered that accident, I said to myself that if I get another chance to play cricket, just enjoy. I have overcame my challenges on and off the field and a big thanks to the teams for supporting me. It has been a challenging journey but thanks to the fans for supporting me.

(When does the mind shift to West Indies) After the night, it's going to move there. It's back home. We are looking forward to it. The last couple of years have been tough for West Indies cricket and the fans but we are really looking forward to it."
PLAYER OF THE MATCH: NICHOLAS POORAN
KL Rahul (Lucknow Super Giants Captain): "Very disappointing. At the beginning of the season I thought we had a very strong team and we have all bases covered. Couple of injuries which happen to every team every season hurt us a little bit. We didn't play well enough collectively. When the bowlers had a good game, the batters didn't. We just didn't come together as much as we have wanted. This is the kind of a game we were looking where the batters are scoring and the bowlers are doing their job but couldn't.

The franchise has really invested in the young Indian bowlers. Mayank and Yudhvir were sent to South Africa to train with Morne Morkel our coach. They got good facilities and treatment through the year so they could play this season.

There's not much T20 cricket coming up now. Its a season where I have learnt where I stand and how can I do better and get back in the team. My role depends on what the team wants. I have did that my whole career.

We would have wanted Pooran to bat higher but the senior players are better suited to absorb the pressure. When Stoinis was at number 3, we thought it was better to have the hard hitters down the order.

I think I am on my father in law's team now as we are cheering for Sharma ji ka beta and his team for the upcoming World Cup."
Most Fours of the Match: Rohit Sharma (10 fours)
Most Sixes of the Match: Nicholas Pooran (8 sixes)
Fantasy Player of the Match: Nicholas Pooran (114 points)
Electric Striker of the Match: Nicholas Pooran (75 runs off 29 balls at a staggering strike rate of 258.62)

Krunal Pandya (LSG): "Obviously, it's been a tough season for us but it's good to finish the season with a win. It would have been great to get a shot in the playoffs but happy to finish on a high.

(On that acrobatic stop in the last over) Fielding is more related to fitness. Whatever the hard work you put, it's just the reflection of that. I was just able to do it."
Hardik Pandya (Mumbai Indians Captain): "I mean, it's quite difficult. We didn't play good quality cricket this season, which ultimately cost us the whole season. I mean, it's a professional world. Yes, sometimes there will be good days, sometimes there will be bad days, but as professional cricketers, we always need to come out and put our best foot forward.

So, I don't think that was much of a problem. But yes, as a group, we couldn't play quality cricket or smart cricket. And eventually, I think the result reflects that.
I think the whole season kind of went wrong. So it's okay, we can pass on this game as well and look forward to the next season."
12:17 AM: That's it for the Mumbai Indians and the Lucknow Super Giants in the season. The visitors sign off with an 18-run victory over the hosts Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede stadium.

Mumbai Indians won the toss, opted to bowl first as the conditions here are preferred by the chasing side. LSG managed 214/6 in their 20 overs. KL Rahul scored 55 and Nicholas Pooran starred with 75 in 29 balls.

Rohit Sharma and his new opening partner Dewald Brevis started off in some good fashion with the senior pro playing the aggressor to perfection. Rohit brought up his first 50 against the Super Giants in just 28 balls.

The powerplay fetched 53 runs for the opening pair before the play was halted due to rain. Brevis played around Rohit and hit a couple of sixes when got the ball in his arc. He was dismissed by Naveen-ul-Haq off a full toss in the ninth over.

Suryakumar Yadav failed to open his account and Rohit departed soon after scoring a valiant 68 in 38 balls. Skipper Hardik Pandya only had 16 to contribute with Naman Dhir fighting it out with an impressive unbeaten 62 in 28 deliveries.

It was a combined bowling performance from the LSG unit with Ravi Bishnoi and Naveen-ul-Haq claiming a couple of wickets each. Krunal Pandya was back at his bowling best with 1/29. Mohsin Khan was expensive but claimed a wicket in his kitty. Arshad Khan conceded just 11 overs in his couple of overs as the Super Giants defended their total of 214.

Stay tuned as we continue our coverage with the post match presentation.
