That's all from this 2nd One Day International Match between Pakistan Women and West Indies Women. We witnessed a nail biting contest that went down to the final ball.

For now, this is Pritam Dey signing off on behalf of co-commentators Ayan Chatterjee, Saipavan Janaki, Soumarya Dutta who, along with scorer/analysts Ashok Dayma and Vishnu Verma brought all the actions of this clash.
Hayley Matthews (West Indies Women Captain): "To be honest, we knew it was a good wicket. We hoped to chase it down easier. Wanted to win it easily. Good partnership between Stafanie and Campbelle and that set it up for us. Yes, we have won the series but two more points up for grabs in the final game and hope to do well and win the game. The pitch was slow and the roller at half time helped the pitch to get flatter a bit. It was tough testing out there and glad to end on the winning side."
Nida Dar (Pakistan Women Captain):Definitely Iā€™m sad to see games like this but the girls are fought hard today. We are short of 20 runs in the batting. Really admire to the batters. I was expensive in the bowling but was cut down. I think this is the great achivement for me."

Stafanie Taylor (Player of the Match): "I mean from the first game I haven't been at my best. Today I took my time and hung in there and got the result in the end. From when we were bowling, we knew it was good for batting. Needed to spend time in the middle and the batters did decent and one of us needed to take it deep and glad I did that. Yes, I like scoring runs does not matter who the opposition is. Love playing against Pakistan and glad I could help my team win."
Player of the Match: Stafanie Taylor.

5:52 PM IST | 5:22 PM Local : West Indies Women registered a remarkable win against Pakistan Women by 2 wickets in the final ball of the match at the National Stadium in Karachi to take a 2-0 lead in the ODI Series with a game to play.

Having won the toss and electing to bat first, Pakistan expected to get a good start with the bat but lost their opener Muneeba Ali cheaply in the 2nd over for just 2 runs off 8 balls. West Indies were a bit here and there with their powerplay bowling. The veteran Bismah Mahroof and Sidra Ameen got together to rebuild the innings. The duo got themselves to a 80 runs partnership, but Afy Fletcher broke the partnership and got the crucial wicket of Sidra Ameen who was dismissed for 50 off 70 balls. Post that, Pakistan suffered a mini-collapse as a result, losing a few more wickets in the course of the following ten overs. Among these were the ones where Nida Dar was run out due to a miscommunication with Maroof, as the Pakistan Captain was dismissed for 15 off 18 balls and Sadaf Shamas was caught attempting to play a slog sweep for 9 off 17 balls.

Pakistan were in a spot of bother there with 20 overs to go. Najiha Alvi batted throughout the Innings with the tail by scoring 25 off 28 balls and somehow managed to get Pakistan to a fighting total 223 though been bundled out with 7 balls to spare. Chinelle Henry (3.37) and Karishma Ramharack (3/48) were the pick of the bowlers for West Indies.

In reply, West Indies started the chase watchfully while Pakistan needed an early wicket especially of the West Indian Captain. They created an early chance as they found the outside edge of Hayley Matthews but she was dropped at first slip when she was at 4. Pakistan paid the price of the costly drop catch of Hayley Matthews who ended up adding 40 more runs with her bat. The Partnership of Shemaine Campbelle (52 off 73 balls) and Stafanie Taylor (73 off 90 balls) who added 88 runs together got them to a very comfortable position in the run chase. The Partnership was broken by Umme Hani as she dismissed Shemaine Campbelle and the door of a fightback opened for Pakistan. West Indies suddenly were struggling in the middle by playing a lot of dot balls and Pakistan were coming right back into the game as they were picking wickets in regular intervals.

26 runs were needed off the last 5 overs with 5 wickets in hand for West Indies. The game went right down to the wire in the final ball. What a remarkable victory for West Indies but Pakistan made a great comeback into the game but lost it in the final ball of the match.

Karishma Ramharack is the hero for the West Indies. She is off to the dug out. The edge past the keeper and away to the third man fence. What a game we have had here and West Indies win by 2 wickets off the final ball of the game. They win the series 2-0 with a game to spare.
49.6 F Sana to K Ramharack
4 FOUR RUNS!! WHAT A DRAMATIC FINISH! The final ball, with 3 runs needed for victory, and the number 10 batter takes strike. A risky edge off the bat, and it races past the fielders for a boundary. What a way to win the game!

The crowd erupts as the tension breaks into a roar of celebration. Back of a length delivery on the outside the off stump line, Ramharack tries to play on the off side but gets an edge of the bat and the ball races through the third man region for four runs.

You can't overlook the tremendous efforts of Pakistan Women. They fought hard, with tight bowling and sharp fielding, keeping the game on a knife-edge until the very end. West Indies Women have secured a nail-biting victory, winning by 2 wickets in a dramatic finish.

3 needed off 1 ball and 2 runs needed to take us into super over. Karishma Ramharack comes out to bat and will be on strike.
49.5 F Sana to A Fletcher
W WICKET!!! Fletcher walking off now. Fuller length delivery on the middle and off stump line, Fletcher uses her feet and lofts that beautifully but that goes straight to the hands of the long off fielder. That was taken in the deep and now WI needs 3 runs in the last ball.
3 runs needed off 2 balls.
49.4 F Sana to Z James
1 Good length delivery on the outside off, James tries to work on the off side but gets an edge of the bat and to the slip region for a single.
