PHEW! Another thrilling encounter in the Indian Premier League! Some brilliant hits from youngsters Shashank and Ashutosh seal the victory for Punjab Kings. That will be it from our coverage from this game! Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Akshay Bhide, Akshaya Polya Krishna & Sidharth Gulati and scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world.
Shashank Singh (Player of the Match): "Still trying to sink in because I visualized all these things before the match and turning it into reality, feeling really happy and proud of myself.

I feel cricketing shots more so it was just that watch the ball and react to it. That's what the coach told me. Usually I bat at 7, today I batted at 5 so the coach told me to play on the merit.

The wicket was really good, the bounce was very good. 200 scored by both teams so the wicket was fantastic [for batting].

[Rashid and co.] They are the legends of the cricket but when you go to bat I feel like I am the best in the world. I see the ball and react to it.

You get experience. I couldn't get much matches before. When I played in SRH, it was good experience there. Here the coaching staff, the management and the owners backed me during the practice sessions and I was really confident."
Shashank Singh is the player of the match.
Shikhar Dhawan (PBKS Skipper): "It was an amazing game. It went very close and our boys held the nerves and did the job.

The plan was to go hard. Unfortunately, I got out but we did well in the powerplay. The main thing is to keep the positive intent and Shashank played very well and did the job.

When we are chasing the big total, we have to keep the momentum going. Shashank hit the sixes effortlessly and it is glad to see him be on our side.

He (Shashank Singh) timed the ball so nicely. He hit the sixes effortlessly and finishing the game, that was very important. He is playing IPL after a long time. This shows what he is capable of. He starting from number seven and it shows his mindset.

I want to speak about Ashutosh as well. It's nice to see him keeping the calm and nice to see them performing."
Most Fours of the Match: Shubman Gill (6 fours) [tied with Shashank but awarded for scoring more runs]
Super Sixes of the Match: Shubman Gill (4 sixes)
Fantasy Player of the Match: Shubman Gill (121 points)

Ashutosh Sharma (PBKS): β€œFirst of all, I would like to thank the Punjab team for believing in me. It feels great. First game and this type of performance. But the main thing is that we have won the game.

Shikhar paaji has helped me a lot. I was just saying to myself that I can do it. I have done it for my home team.

A big thanks to Sanjay Bangar sir for believing in me. In the camp, he told me a few things which helped me. Back home, I worked hard with my coach Amay Khurasiya and he told me that I will become hero if I get a chance. I want to thank everyone back home."
Shubman Gill (GT Skipper): "I think dropped catches hurt us. Our bowlers did a pretty decent job. With dew, it's always difficult to defend.

"I don't think (we were 20 runs short). The new ball was doing something. There're always areas to improve. I think 199 was a good enough total. We were in the game till the 15th over. Can't put down catches.

"It was kind of a no-brainer to go with Darshan (Nalkande). The way he bowled in the previous match (against Sunrisers Hyderabad), Nalkande was the obvious choice.

"This is IPL for you. There'll always be cricketers who'll come and play blinders. That's the beauty of this tournament."
SHUBMAN GILL PRESENTS MOHIT SHARMA WITH THE PURPLE CAP
11:18 PM: Punjab Kings finishers Shashank Singh and Ashutosh Sharma produced a stellar performance in the slog overs taking Punjab Kings to a thrilling victory in the final over as the visitors win by 3 wickets and get their 2nd win in the season!

The Gujarat Titans put up 199/4 in their 20 overs with skipper Shubman Gill top scoring with 89 in 48 deliveries batting through the 20 overs. Rahul Tewatia finished the job with 23 in 8 balls at the fag end with Sai Sudharsan and the comeback man Kane Williamson putting in handy contributions.

The chase didn't begin as the Kings would have wanted. Losing Shikhar Dhawan in the 2nd over and then Jonny Bairstow inside the powerplay. Prabhsimran Singh continued attacking with 35 in 24 balls.

The experienced Sam Curran and Sikandar Raza failed to soak the pressure and departed cheaply but the young pair of Shashank Singh and Ashutosh Sharma didn't give up despite 89 needed in 46 balls when Kings lost half of their line-up.

Jitesh Sharma lined up Rashid Khan for back-to-back sixes but perished while trying to hit the third. Impact player Ashutosh then joined Shashank adding 43 runs for the 7th wicket scoring 31 in 17 deliveries with 3 fours and a six. Shashank lit the stadium with an unbeaten 61 in 29 balls, his maiden IPL fifty, an innings that featured 6 fours and 4 sixes.

With only Umesh Yadav left with an over at the end of the 19th, Darshan Nalkande was tasked with the job to defend 7 off 6. Bowling his first over of the night, Darshan delivered with Ashutosh's wicket on the first ball, bowled a bouncer that was called a wide, got another bouncer which was called as wide overturned to a dot ball, conceded a single to bring back Shashank on strike.

The in-form batter got a thick outside edge running away for four and levelling the scores. With just 1 required off 2, Nalkande bowled one angling on the pads. Shashank got it off the pad towards Saha who was acrobatic in his attempt but failed to contain the leg bye. Decision was referred and was upheld with Kings winning by 3 wickets.

Before all the drama, Noor Ahmad set the stage on fire with 2/32. His first 2 overs producing wickets of Jonny Bairstow and Prabhsimran Singh. Impact player Mohit Sharma was brilliant again and got the purple cap after picking Sikandar Raza in the 13th over.

Stay tuned and hang around for the post match presentation.
Shashank Singh, take a bow!!! What an innings this has been from him. Takes his side across the line with one ball to spare.
