That's all from today's coverage of the Ranji Trophy 2023-24 final between Mumbai and Vidarbha from Wankhede Stadium. Mumbai won the match and lifted their 42nd title. Vidarbha end up as the runners-up team.

For now, this is Gourav Samal, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Ayan Chatterjee and scorer/analyst Asraj Khan. Stay tuned with us for more cricketing actions around the world. Thank you and have a good day.
Ajinkya Rahane now goes and collects the Trophy from the MCA Secretary. Now, he takes the trophy to his teammates and the celebrations begin in the Mumbai camp. They now pose in front of the winners banner. The celebrations will continue well into the night. Plus, MCA has also added 5 crore to the prize money already given.
Ajinkya Rahane (Mumbai Captain): "Firstly, congratulate Vidarbha for the way they played cricket. It was easy to give up after being so far behind. They played really well and fought really well. I think the way they have played cricket for 6-7 years is great to see. This season's win is special for us. We lost last season or didn't qualify for the knockouts by a run but we built a crucial atmosphere and culture and won the title in the end. Want to thank MCA as well for their support. Look, I did not make much runs in the end. I am going through a phase which is learning for us. I think I am not thinking about myself and only about the team. The team's cause is important and happy to win the 42nd Ranji Trophy title. It's been a long season for us. Started in May June. So, would like to celebrate a bit today. We deserve it. The back room staff and support staff have been tremendous for all of us. Thank them for their support.

Dhawal is a great cricketer. Whatever praise he has gotten is not enough to praise him. We have played from our Under 14 days and he has been a terrific performer for us. We will miss him. I wish him all the best for his future. Not sure what he is going to do in the future whether commentator or coach or something. Wish him well and hope to take a break now for me."
Ajinkya Rahane will collect the cheque of Rs 5 crores for winning the Ranji Trophy title.
Each of the Mumbai players are being called now to collect their individual awards.
Akshay Wadkar (Vidarbha Captain): "Yes, sir. One bad innings that came at the wrong time and that cost us. The batting clicked all the time. We did well to get Mumbai all out for 224 but then we lost it and gave them a big lead. They bowled well as well. New ball is the key and the openers were dismissed and it was tough. Pitch was going difficult throughout. Mumbai showed great determination. Chances were there here and there. It happens. Ajju and Musheer took the game away from us and then Shreyas batting was crucial and we lost the momentum in the end. We were trying to play ball by ball. We showed great defense and frustrated them. We played out the first hour as there is moisture on the pitch. This was the last wicket with Harsh as the batters down the order could defend in the end. This season we worked on our fielding and also that has helped with Atul sir. We took great catches in the season. That area has improved a lot and that is the positive. Thank You very much."
Akshay Wadkar comes up and collects a cheque of 3 crores for being runners up.
Tanush Kotian (Player of the Tournament): "Start of the season was like had to win the title. We wanted to win the title and we wanted to win the title and happy to get the win. Last year was doing fine. Built confidence and worked on myself and happy to do well. Everyday practise helps us a lot. DRS is not my cup of tea. Was too over enthusiastic to be honest. Want to improve year on year and talk to my seniors and want to come back stronger in the season. The atmosphere is great. We did really well. The fast bowlers got less breaks. Great effort from all. Bowlers batters alike. It was a team effort from all of us. Thank You sir."
Player of the Tournament: Tanush Kotian.
Musheer Khan (Player of the Match): "Sir, this innings was important for me. It was a final match and I wanted to score big and build partnerships with other players. Playing with Ajinkya was great. He was talking great and we wanted to play throughout the day and play straight. Proud to represent Mumbai and the dressing room. Happy to be 42-time champions. Want to work on the processes and want to take it one game at at time. Don't want to focus too much ahead."
Player of the Match: Musheer Khan.
Dhawal Kulkarni is now being felicitated by the secretary and president of Mumbai Cricket Association.
Time for the post match presentations.

Yes, it was tough, but we had the confidence to come back from a tough situations and glad we did that. Yes, mentality is important. It was tough work out there and won the important sessions. We were mentally ready for the big battles in the end. Yes, Vidarbha batted well, but we got the job done in the end."
Shardul Thakur: "Great season and a terrific achievement. Lot of hard work has gone on and proud to be part of the winning side for us. Always love to face the challenges and pull the team out of a challenging situations. That is my aim. In the semis, I scored a hundred to rescue the team and then in the finals to score 75 and take the team past 200 was important and happy to contribute to the team's cause under pressure."
Dhawal Kulkarni: "This is a dream come true ending on a high and getting the last wicket is a dream come true. Great gesture to get the last over and get the wicket for my side. So, thanks to Ajinkya and Tushar for allowing me to take the ball. My effort has always been to help the team and pass on knowledge to the youngsters. That is my aim. My 6th final. Long journey. "
13:21 IST and Local Time | That's the end of the match. Mumbai win it and a dream end to the career of Dhawal Kulkarni. He picks the last one. What a player he has been for Mumbai over the years. Everyone is shaking hands with the Mumbaikar to congratulate him.
