So, that also brings a wrap to our coverage of this game. Multan Sultans are into the finale of PSL 2024. Do join us for the Eliminator 1 which is scheduled tomorrow. For now, this is me Hiren Kumar signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Akshaya Krishna Polya, Sourya Chowdhury and scorer/analyst Raju Khariya. CHEERS!!

Mohammad Rizwan (Multan Sultans captain): "I am very happy that what we work for so hard we are achieving thanks to God and we have made four finals in a row. But we still have one match to go and we will be focusing on it now.

We have needed that finishing touch even in the games we lose and we will be hoping to get it in that one final match.

The teams that get success are the ones whose bowlers are the best. We have some great batters and great bowlers but we should not get complacent as we have.

Yasir played a fine innings today, he begun to dominate the bowling. Hope this ground in Karachi is full in the final."

Usama Mir (Player of the Match): "Very happy to win this game. The expectations from the captain and team management is fulfilled. Rizwan bhai gives me a lot of confidence and always tells me that i am the main spinner of the team. As a leg spinner, hitting the right lengths is important. Our bowling unit is doing very well. Willey gives us a good start which helps us to do well in the middle overs and also credit to CJ the way he bowls in the death."
PLAYER OF THE MATCH: USAMA MIR
Safe Hands of the Match: Mehran Mumtaz

1:03 IST and 00:33 Local Time: We are ready with the post-match presentations...
Babar Azam (Peshawar Zalmi Captain): "Yes, we were 15 runs short. Didn't start well. Lost wickets regularly. In the middle, I had a good partnership with Tom Kohler-Cadmore. But we lost wickets in the last half of the innings and hence didn't finish well.

It doesn't matter who we face in the Eliminator. We need to win it at any cost and reach the final.

We have to work on a couple of things on our batting and bowling ahead of the next game. It was tough conditions and they bowled well, I backed myself and built my innings. Had I stayed there, maybe things might have been different.

We didn't have enough runs on the board. Bowlers fought hard, but not enough on the board. We will go back to the drawing room. We will have a chat with coaches, Daren Sammy and others. We will come back stronger."
Yasir Khan (Multan Sultans) "Am really happy that we have reached the final and I performed. We have reached four consecutive finals and hopefully God willing we will do well in it.

I will like to thank the team management for their support, I was asked to build the innings and rotate the strike.

Thankfully I did well in the national T20, and now am doing well here. I spoke to Babar last night, he told me how to build an innings and to rotate the strike which really helped tonight. We are always together as a team as Rizwan bhai keeps us together, treat us all specially, no one is a senior or junior here. Rizwan bhai asks us to go outside and just try to perform with a free mind."
00:48 IST and 00:18 Local Time | ALL OVER. Multan Sultans are into the finale of PSL 2024. Yet another final for them. Peshawar will get another go in the Eliminator 2. The dug out is all smiles and what a clinical performance this has been from the Sultans.

Opting to bat first, Peshawar Zalmi looked pretty ordinary with the bat todaty and managed to post just 146 on the board in their 20 overs. They lost Saim Ayub in the very first over today. Mohammad Haris joined Babar in the middle and stitched up a good little partnership in the powerplay.

Haris was later dismissed on 22 in the 6th over. Their middle order was again poor and failed to go big. Tom Kohler Cadmore scored 24 off 24 but could not capitalize on the start. Babar Azam scored 46 off 42 and was sent back by a ripper of a ball by Jordan. In the end, Luke Wood and Paul Walter scored 14* runs each and gave a decent finish for their side.

For Multan Sultans, they were perfect with the ball today and almost all their bowlers were amongst the wickets. Willey was again brilliant with the new ball and picked up a wicket in the first over. Chris Jordan and Usama Mir were also excellent in the middle overs and picked up 2 wickets each to their name.

Coming to the chase, Multan were off to perfect start with Yasir Khan looking solid in the powerplay. Rizwan was playing the anchor role at the other but was dismissed for 15 in the 8th over.

Yasir Khan was also later dismissed by Mehran Mumtaz in the 11th over after a fine knock of 54 off 37 balls. Usman Khan remained not out on 36* and looked solid. Johnson Charles struggled tonight and scored 11 off 17. In the end, Iftikhar Ahmed scored quick fire 22* off just 8 balls to seal the victory.

With the ball, there were not much positives for Peshawar and managed to pick up just 3 wickets. Mehran Mumtaz, Aamir Jamal, and Salman Irshad picked up a wicket each to their name.

Stay around for the presentations coming your way..
18.3 L Wood to U Khan
1 MULTAN SULTANS ARE IN THE PSL FINAL 2024! Full-length ball at the off-stump. Usman Khan digs it out to mid-off for a quick single. A shy at the bowler's end but misses. This is the fourth consecutive PSL final for Multan Sultans! What a franchise! They have won only once, though! They have beaten Peshawar Zalmi by 7 wickets and stormed through to yet another PSL summit clash.
The scores are level.
18.2 L Wood to I Ahmed
1 Wide yorker, bowled outside off, Iftikhar just opens his face to guide it down to deep point for one and they are just one run away. What a performance this has been.
Sultans are just one hit away!
