So, that also brings a wrap to our coverage of this game. For now, this is me Hiren Kumar signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Akshaya Krishna Polya and scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. CHEERS!!!
Rilee Rossouw (Quetta Gladiators Captain): "You could see the emotions in the dug-out after we qualified for the playoffs. We have done well so far. The job is not done yet.

We did well with the ball. This was one of the best performances with the ball in this tournament. We were targeting the short boundaries. Chat was to be positive. Nafay was swinging as hard as he could. He's young and will learn. Saud helped him in the middle. Wasim Jnr was told only to swing as hard as he could, and he nailed it. You know Akeal can bat and he was yet to come. So we have a deep batting lineup.

Very happy with the formula of the team. Happy with the result. We want to beat Multan and stay in the top two positions. We will go back to the drawing-room tomorrow and get back with the strategies. We want to beat the top placed Multan. Thank you."
Saud Shakeel (Player of the match) - "I was thinking to take the game deep and bat till the end and then see what we can do in the need. Credit to Wasim for his finish. I got to know the pitch early and i was looking to take the game deep. I have played a lot cricket in Karachi and that helps me."
PLAYER OF THE MATCH: SAUD SHAKEEL
Super Power of the Day: Abrar Ahmed
Energetic Batter of the Match: Saud Shakeel
11:28 PM IST and 10:58 PM Local Time: We are ready with the presentations.
Shaheen Shah Afridi (Lahore Qalandars Captain): " Congrats to Quetta. They played very good cricket. 160-odd was never going to be enough on this pitch. We fought hard. Going into the final over, they had wickets and they played very good cricket. I should have defended 14 runs in the last over, but the way they played the last 3-4 overs, they deserved to win this game. They played according to their plan; they hit every ball.

We could have won this game, but credit to them. Saud Shakeel was brilliant the way he started the innings, throughout the 20 overs, he played very good cricket. We played really good cricket the whole season; sometimes you need luck. Hopefully, we prepare well for the next season and grab the opportunities."
Mohammad Wasim Jnr: "Thanks to the almighty. Really happy with the win. Over the moon with the qualification to the playoffs. As soon as I came into the middle, the chat was to take a single and give strike to Saud Shakeel. But given we needed 4 in the last ball, I told him that I am gonna just swing."
23:15 IST and 22:45 Local Time | What a game we have just hard here in Karachi! Shaheen Afridi cannot believe what he has done here. Wow! What a finish! Quetta Gladiators are through to the playoffs! Mohammad Wasim you beauty! He has faced just 2 balls but that blow in the end will be remembered for a long long time. No one on the ground would have expected that. Quetta Gladiators win by 6 wickets.

Opting to bat first, the Lahore Qalandars posted a par total of 166 runs. They were off to decent start but were pretty slow during the middle overs. They did accelerate in the end which helped them cross the 160-m mark. Abdullah Shafique and and Skipper Shaheen Shah Afridi were the top scorers and scored 59* and 55 runs respectively.

With the ball, the Quetta bowlers were economical throughout the innings but were a bit expensive in the death. Abrar Ahmed was the pick of the bowlers and picked up 2 wickets to his name.

Coming to the chase, Quetta Gladiators were off to a flier with Jason Roy starting with three back to back boundaries. Roy could not capitalize on his start and was later dismissed for 18. Rilee Rossouw's poor run continues and was again dismissed cheaply today.

Saud Shakeel was the pick of the batters and played a match winning knock of 88* runs. In the end, it was Mohammad Wasim Jr who hit that crucial blow in the end to seal the victory for his side.

For Lahore, they were decent with the ball in the powerplay and also in the middle overs but leaked too many in the end. Jahandad Khan and Shaheen Shah Afridi were the only wicket takers and picked up 2 wickets each.

Stay around for the presentations coming your way..

6 SIXXXX!!!! What a game we have just hard here in Karachi! Shaheen Afridi cannot believe what he has done here, bowling length instead of good old yorker. Wow! What a finish! Quetta Gladiators are through to the playoffs for the first time in four years! Karachi Kings are out of the tournament. Lahore Qalandars slip to another defeat!

Mohammad Wasim Jnr, you little beauty. Think about the moment when the Legendary Sir Vivian Richards himself ran out from the dugout and celebrated with the kids; Shakeel and Wasim Jnr! 72-year-old Richards sprinted onto the centre, and he was pumped up. Keep going, Vivian!

It will hurt Shaheen and Lahore for a long time, though they are already knocked out. It was a length delivery at the stumps. Wasim Jnr sets himself deep in the crease, clears his front leg and swings hard across the line. Gives the kitchen sink at it and hoicks it over deep forward square leg for a massive six!
Oh dear was that single even necessary. 4 needed off the last ball and it will be Wasim on strike.
19.5 S Afridi to S Shakeel
1 Back of a length outside off. Shakeel is early on the reverse scoop and gets hit on the gloves, rolling to point for a single.
