So, that also brings an end to our coverage of this game. For now, this is me Hiren Kumar signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Saptak Sanyal and scorer/analyst Yogesh Kumar. CHEERS!!
Babar Azam (Player of the match and Peshawar Zalmi Captain): "Any game is not easy and even 200 is not defendable here. We failed to hang on to a few catches in the game. I am relaxed and not bothered about these things and play tension free and try to develop my game and people talk a lot about strike rate and i am working towards it and we look to forget the game we lose and move forward.

I am following him from U-19 and also in the Asia Cup (On Mehran Mumtaz). He was a bit nervous in the first over but bowled very well after that and that was also the turning point in the game. We are a bit ordinary on the field and we need to improve our fielding. Our batting needs to be strong to support our fielders."
Player of the Match- Babar Azam
Super Power of the Match- Mehran Mumtaz
Energetic Batter of the Match- Saim Ayub
Moment of the Match- Asif Ali (For the catch of Dawid Malan)
Time for the post match presentations.
Salman Irshad- "I was backing my strength as 23 run was a lot to defend. I knew Iftikhar bhai plays the full deliveries well and I tried not to bowl that. When the first ball was a dot, I knew it will be tough for them. Look in Pindi, if you keep your economy rate less than 10, it is good. That's what our team management says. Our team environment is very good. Hopefully we will reach the finals."
23:30 IST, 23:00 Local Time | Peshawar win by 4 runs and beat the table toppers but a what a fight back that was from Multan Sultans. They fell just short of 4 runs. The duo of Iftikhar Ahmed and Chris Jordan kept them alive till the 20th over but credit to Salman Irshad who executed the yorkers well in the end.

Opting to bat first, Zalmi was off to a flying start with their openers playing attacking cricket. Babar Azam and Saim Ayub scored 84 runs for the 1st wicket partnership with the latter being dismissed for a quick 42. Babar Azam was the pick of the batters and played an excellent knock of 64 off 40 balls. Haseebullah and Rovman Powell were also impressive in the death and played good little knocks of 31 and 23* runs respectively which helped them cross the 200-mark.

With the ball, the Multan bowlers were a bit expensive today and failed to pick up wickets at regular intervals. Usama Mir and Chris Jordan were the top wicket takers and picked up 3 and 2 wickets respectively.

Coming to the chase, the Multan Sultans were off to a decent start but lost Reeza Hendricks cheaply today in the 5th over. Mohammad Rizwan could not capitalise on his start today and was dismissed for 32. They kept losing wickets at regular intervals in the middle overs but then entered Iftikhar Ahmed and Chris Jordan.

Both of them played with a positive intent and kept their side alive till the end. Iftikhar was the pick of the batters and remained unbeaten on 60*. Chris Jordan also played a good little cameo of 30* and fell short off just 6 runs.

For Peshawar, their bowlers were brilliant in the powerplay and middle overs but were a bit expensive in the death but the 20th over of Salman Irshad was a good one which helped them seal the game. Aamer Jamal was the top wicket taker for them with 2 wickets to his name. A good game for Peshawar and will gain a lot of confidence forward by beating the table toppers.

Stay tuned for presentations coming your way..

19.6 S Irshad to I Ahmed
6 Iftikhar hits the final ball of the game for a maximum but the Multan Sultans falls 4 run short tonight. Full delivery at the off stump line. Iftikhar shuffles a tad and clears his front leg to hit it over long off for a maximum. What a game! What a fightback!
19.5 S Irshad to C Jordan
1 Irshad follows Jordan who was moving leg side for room and bowls the yorker at his pads. Jordan hits it to mid on for a single.
19.4 S Irshad to C Jordan
4 FOUR MORE and the equation is down to 12 off 2 balls. Irshad comes up with a full length delivery at the fourth stump line. Jordan creates the room and hits it through the gap of long off and deep extra cover for a boundary.
Equation - 16 off 3 balls.
19.3 S Irshad to C Jordan
4 FOUR! The game is still alive! Irshad drops it on fullish length at the leg stump. Jordan moves leg side of the ball and hits it through the deep backward square leg for a boundary.
Good start this from Salman Irshad here. 20 required off 4 balls now.
19.2 S Irshad to I Ahmed
1 BRILLIANT YORKER! Irshad serves the delivery at the fourth stump. Iftikhar struggled to play a shot and digs it to the pitch for a single.
