So, that also brings an end to our coverage of this game. For now, this is me Hiren Kumar, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Anirudh Modi, Ninaad and scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. CHEERS!!
Mohammad Rizwan (Multan Sultans Captain): "You always find something good and bad in wins. The fielding needs to improve.

I have tried to bring out the best of Usman Khan's ability. We were communicating according to the situation. We didn't think about any target but wanted to utilize the powerplay. Usman Khan played some extraordinary shots. He told that the pitch wasn't easy but the way he played we had enough runs on the board.

Our wins and losses might hamper other sides but we don't think about it. We will play positively for the rest of the season."
Usman Khan (Player of the Match): "Firstly, thanks to Allah. I try to give my best in whatever position i get to play. I try to spend time on the pitch and look playing in the V and capitalize on the loose balls. Our coaches have said us to play attacking cricket and capitalize on the loose balls and that was our plan today."
Usman Khan is the player of the match.
Usama Mir receives the Fazal Mahmood cap for the most wickets taken in the season (15).
Multan Sultans become the first team to qualify for the playoffs.
Chris Jordan: "A great win tonight. The environment is relaxed and i have been given a warm welcome. Everyone is clear with their role. I kept it nice and straight and happy to get his wicket tonight (On James Vince). As I said before, the environment is relaxed and there is healthy competition for the positions. His work ethic is crazy and when he is in the game, his plans are clear and is a top guy (On Usman Khan). There are a few familiar faces for me in the new team as well."
Shan Masood (Karachi Kings Captain): "Today we were just off the pace a little bit in all departments. With the ball we were good in the first 10 overs but didn't bowl properly. There were fielding lapses and we lost wickets too early upfront. Pitch was really good, ball came on the bat much better than the previous 2 games. I don't think we were at the top of our game as we were in the last game.

Quetta game was ideal but it didn't happen. If we would have been won today it would have been 3 wins in 3 and we had a good shot. We still have 4 games to play, we win 3 to 4 games and we have a good chance. We need to make sure to put a good performance in every game.

I don't want to make excuses like that but we found an XI which won us the first game and the next 2 games. Leus du Plooy was in the hospital and has come back without any practice. We have been battling with something but you have a squad of 20 so I am not going to use it as an excuse."
23:12 IST and 22:42 Local Time: ALL OVER. Multan Sultans win by 20 runs. A clinical performance from them with both bat and ball and also become the first team to qualify for the playoffs.

Opting to bat first, Multan Sultans started with a positive intent. They lost Reeza Hendricks early in the 2nd over but then entered Usman Khan. He along with Mohammad Rizwan stitched up a massive partnership of 148 runs for the 2nd wicket. Usman Khan went on to score a fantastic hundred and remained unbeaten at 106* off just 59 balls. Rizwan also played his part and played a fine knock of 58 runs.

For Karachi, their bowling struggled today and failed to pick up wickets at regular intervals. Blessing Muzarabani was the only bowler who looked good and picked up 2 wickets.

Coming to the chase, Karachi Kings were off to a shaky start and lost 2 quick wickets inside the powerplay. Skipper Masood looked good and scored 36 to his name but could not stay for long. Shoaib Malik also looked good in the middle order but again failed to capitalize on his start.

In the end, Mohammad Nawaz did play a good little cameo of 27* runs but it was too late. For Multan Sultans, their bowlers were also good and kept picking up wickets at regular intervals. Usama Mir was the pick of the bowlers and ended with the figures of 2/29 in his 4 overs. Mohammad Ali, Chris Jordan, and David Willey were also rewarded with a wicket each. Multan Sultans continue to dominate and stay on top of the points table.

Hang around for the presentations coming your way.
