Milestone
That's it from this thrilling game between Lahore and Karachi where Karachi came out on top in the end. Do join us tomorrow for all the other cricketing actions across the globe and across formats in our network. For now, this is Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Saptak Sanyal alongside scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodnight and CHEERS!
Shan Masood (Karachi Kings Captain)- "When you are at a new franchise and try to change the results, you have to undergo a lot of things. Yes we have found our team balance back. We were brilliant in the first 10 overs but the finishing they did was splendid. Maybe, we should have restricted them 10-15 run short. It is heartening to see when we are down with 44 for 4, two experienced guys stepped up and helped us to proceed through the middle overs without losing the wickets."
Kieron Pollard (Player of the Match): "Obviously with the amount of experience we have. We had to consolidate and then let the required rate not go up. Go at 9 and 10 and over. We targeted the bowlers towards the end. We won in the last ball, but the calculations were good by us. I think pressure and being there done that always helps us a lot. Have been in tough situations before and glad we came out on top in the end. I mean these are games we live for."
Player of the Match: Kieron Pollard.
Super Power of the Day: Hasan Ali.
Energetic Batter of the Match: Sahibzada Farhan.
Moment of the Match: Kieron Pollard.
Hanif Mohammad Cap is given to Sahibzada Farhan.
Time for the presentations.
Shaheen Shah Afridi (Lahore Qalandars Captain)- "Karachi deserves the credit for playing so well. We played good cricket today. Today we did well in all the three departments. I think the spinners' overs against Pollard was the turning point. We thought to remove spinners from Pollard and save Bhatti's over for the end as the tail-enders will find it difficult to hit but Hasan played well. Zaman is consistently improving day by day and that's a very good thing, not only for us but also for Pakistan cricket.
Hasan Ali- "We knew that they were one over short ad had to bowl with spinner. I tried to charge in the first ball and when I got it in the slot, I dispatched it. Kieron Pollard is a matured cricketer and he is the game changer for us today. He deserves to be the man of the match. I know him since 2017 and we have a good relation. I took break from BPL to work on my bowling and got my rhythm back here."
11:33 PM IST, 11:03 PM Local Time: Phew! What a game of cricket we have witnessed in Lahore. Lahore vs Karachi is always called a big battle and it lived upto its reputation. The match went from one place to another and in the end, Karachi Kings hold their nerves to win by 2 wickets off the final ball of the game to win the contest and Lahore have now lost 4 out of 4 games.

Chasing 176 for the win, Karachi Kings lost wickets at regular intervals as they were 4 down in no time. Shan Masood got to 10 and Mohammad Nawaz scored 15. But it was the 95-run stand between Kieron Pollard and Shoaib Malik that got them back on track. Pollard was the star with 58 off 33 balls while Shoaib Malik scored 39 off 32 balls. They lost their way after that as well. Irfan Khan held his nerve and was unbeaten on 12* off 10 balls. Hasan Ali scored 9 but he hit that one six at the end overs that was crucial. 10 extras given by the fielding side.

The Lahore Qalandars bowlers bowled well today but could not close the game out. Zaman Khan was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 2/25 in 4 overs. Ahsan Bhatti got a couple of wickets as well to his name. A wicket for skipper Shaheen Afridi, Jahandad Khan, and Haris Rauf who finished with figures of 1/22 in 4 overs. They must be heartbroken not to win the game today.

Earlier in the game, Lahore Qalandars were asked to bat first by Karachi Kings. The Qalandars lost Fakhar Zaman early. Rassie van der Dussen scored 26 off 23 balls. Sahibzada Farhan played a great knock and held the innings together with his 72* off 45 balls. He carried his bat. Jahandad Khan got to 12. Shai Hope scored 21 off 13 balls while George Linde scored 26* off 13 balls in the end as that helped Lahore get to 175/6 in 20 overs.

A couple of wickets apiece Mir Hamza, Hasan Ali, and Tabraiz Shamsi who went for the runs a bit in the end.

So, Karachi Kings win this game by 2 wickets as Lahore stays winless in the competition. Stay tuned for the presentations.

Mir Hamza gets the edge and holds his nerve in the end. Karachi Kings win the game in the end and heartbreak for Lahore Qalandars.
19.6 A Bhatti to M Hamza
1 Mir Hamza helps his team to come out with flying colours!!! Bhatti from over the wicket, bowls a length delivery at the fourth stump. Hamza cramps for room but he goes for the cut. The outside edge goes through the keeper's left and the batters collects a run. Agony for the Lahore Qalandars as their losing streak continues and the Karachi Kings' players are on cloud nine!
