Milestone
That's it from our coverage of this game. Do join us for more cricketing actions from around the globe and across formats in our network. For now, this is Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Saptak Sanyal (first innings), alongside scorer/analyst Ghanendra Singh Thakur. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodnight and CHEERS!
Kusal Mendis (Sri Lanka Captain): "The toss was important. The pitch was not the easiest to bat on. We felt 320 was a good score. The bowling plan was to bowl dot balls and keep basics tight going ahead. Stuck to the basics and that gave us rewards. Since, we have won the series, going ahead you may see some changes in our side for the third ODI. Thank You."
Hashmatullah Shahidi (Afghanistan Captain): "Definitely. Loss is not good for any team. Yes, this happened in the second innings of the Test match. The top order batted well. The ball gripped from Hasaranga and we felt the pressure. Over 300 was always pressure. We were positive to chase this down. Top order did well but we gave it away. Fielding cost us. 4 dropped catches is costing us big time. Fielding is the part we are lacking and bowling also we have to be disciplined."
Charith Asalanka (Player of the Match): "It was a challenging knock. Playing at Number 5. Don't know when I have to bat. Whether to bat for more or less time. Mendis and Sadeera batted well. Then Janith carried it forward and carried it form. Firstly, I was looking at 270-280. Then when Janith came into bat and then looked over 300. I tried harder to get to a century. It was not to be. Happens. Thank You so much."
Player of the Match: Charith Asalanka.
Time for the presentations.
9:28 PM IST, Local Time: Wow, what a collapse from Afghanistan as they collapsed from 128/2 at one stage to 153 all out in 33.5 overs. They were in the chase, but lost their way and the flood gates opened thereafter. Hasaranga started it and finished things off in style.

Chasing a target of 309 for a series levelling win, Afghanistan lost Rahmanullah Gurbaz early. Ibrahim Zadran and Rahmat Shah had a good partnership as they both scored half centuries. Zadran scored 54 while Rahmat scored 63. But the rest of the batters fell by the wayside thereafter as they collapsed from 128/2 to 153 all out in 33.5 overs. 10 extras given by the fielding side.

Wanindu Hasaranga did the star turn with figures of 4/27 in 6.5 overs. A couple of wickets for Asitha Fernando and Dilshan Madushanka who was on a hat-trick once. A wicket to Pramod Madushan as well. All in all, a great bowling display for the hosts to take a 2-0 lead in the 3-match series.

Earlier in the game, Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bat first. Sri Lanka lost Avishka Fernando early. Pathum Nissanka scored a breezy 18 off 17 balls. The skipper Kusal Mendis stood up for his 61 off 55 balls. Sadeera Samarawickrama scored a good looking 52 off 61 balls. But it was Charith Asalanka who stood tall and scored a magnificent 97* off 74 balls. He fell three short of his 100. Janith Liyanage scored a useful 50 off 48 balls. Wanindu Hasaranga was unbeaten on 14* off 13 balls. 11 extras given by the fielding side as Sri Lanka ended with a mammoth 308/6 in 50 overs.

Azmatullah Omarzai was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3/56 in 10 overs. Fazalhaq Farooqi was unlucky not to pick more wickets as he ended up with 1/56 in 10 overs. A wicket apiece for Noor Ahmad and Qais Ahmad but both went for runs. Mohammad Nabi went wicketless but gave away only 38 runs in 10 overs. Afghanistan were awful in the field as there were a lot of dropped catches as well. Sri Lanka benefitted from this a lot.

So, Sri Lanka won this game by 155 runs and clinched the series 2-0 with a game to spare which will be on Wednesday. Stay tuned for the presentations.
33.5 W Hasaranga to G Naib
W Appeal and up goes the finger. There is no review left. It cannot be helped. Googly delivery angling in, Naib looks to defend and gets hit on the pads. He may have got an inside edge but no reviews left and this game is over in a jiffy. Naib departs as the Afghans are bowled out for 153.
33.4 W Hasaranga to G Naib
0 Flatter outside off, Naib looks to carve it away and dabs it to short third man.
