12:43 AM IST, 9:13 PM Local Time | Well that's all from this match folks! Durban's Super Giants head into the night as table toppers! Join us back tomorrow for more action from SA20 2024 as we await a double header day!

Until then, I am Anirudh Modi, signing off along with my scorer/analyst Paras Yadav! See you on the next one!
Quinton de Kock (Player of the match): "I guess so, the coaches always said to put me in at no. 3 / no. 4 and yeah it came off. It's been pretty relaxed, I did not get off to the best start and I just needed something to click and some time out in the middle.

The wicket was a little slow, so I took my time to adapt and go from there. Just making sure the bowlers know who is the off, Haha. We have practice scenarios and as Proteas we understand each other better and that's great.

We came out and we wanted to bat first in order to put up a decent total. We played really well and we knew a big score would be difficult for them. Klaasen is hitting the gym at the moment, he knows I'm talking about it but yeah he does what he does."
Quinton de Kock is the player of the match!
Keshav Maharaj (Durban's Super Giants Captain): "I think they batted really well, they swung momentum our way, it was about playing freely and we got to see the class of Quinny and to see him back in the rhythm. Klaasie was fantastic too.

Quinny is easy to handle and credit to him for taking on the responsibility to bat in the middle and flourishing. The ball was responding really well, we knew bulk of the runs would be scored in the powerplay but we got a few wickets and put the squeeze on.

JJ bowled the difficult over in the powerplay and picked up the wicket, Noor and I are always there and the fast bowlers were great too. It's about not getting complacent and looking to play with the same enthusiasm. It's always nice to qualify but you give yourself a little more motivation and hope to finish off in the top 2.

Good opportunity to continue the good form in Durban."
David Miller (Paarl Royals Captain): "We wanted to chase after winning the toss, I thought it was a good wicket. Unfortunately, chasing 190 is a tall ask, we bowled well but they did well to score the runs they did at the backend.

We have been comfortable with the different wickets, we have got one more game here and we want to make that count. World class batters, you need to be on your mark and even if you are not, sometimes they can take you apart and that's what they did.

Nothing to be concerned, just a couple of conversations around the field, what the guys are thinking, we have been really consistent in this tournament but unfortunate sometimes this game can go like that."
Time for the post match presentation ceremony..
12:25 AM IST, 8:55 PM Local Time | Durban's Super Giants have won the battle of the table toppers to go top of the table with the bonus point also in tow! They blow away the former leaders at home by 57 runs!

Durban's Super Giants won the toss and elected to bat first,
and thanks to an excellent 118 run stand between Quinton de Kock and JJ Smuts, and a blazing cameo from Klaasen at the backend, they were able to register 190/3 at the end of their 20 overs.

Come the chase, Jason Roy and Jos Buttler got things going quickly but Roy fell to an unfortunate dismissal in the 4th over and was followed by Lubbe within the powerplay. With Jos Buttler looking good, Paarl Royals were able to register 64/2 at the end of first 8 overs.

With Buttler and Miller at the crease, Paarl were hopeful to chase this down. However, Noor Ahmad bowled 5 dots in a row and dismissed Miller of the last ball of the 9th over to eek out a wicket maiden and turn the tide.

Keshav Maharaj accompanied him with a couple of dismissals in the middle phase, including that of Buttler and the fate was sealed. Durban's pacers finished things off in the slog overs with Marcus Stoinis being the pick of the bowling unit with 3/24 from his quota of 4 overs.

Durban take home 5 points from this match and go top of the table with 23 points to make their case for playoffs the strongest in the league! Paarl Royals meanwhile will be disappointed to lose at home in such fashion and will hope to bounce back in their next encounter!
