So that brings the curtain down on our coverage of the exciting SA20 encounter between Pretoria Capitals and Durban's Super Giants where the Capitals defeated their worthy opposition by 17 runs.

For now, this is Saptak Sanyal, signing off on the behalf of my co-commentator Ayan Chatterjee and our scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. Stay safe, good night.
Will Jacks (Player of the Match): "Yes, good all round performance and happy to get the win and kickstart our campaign. This ground gives you the confidence to do well at this ground. We gave away the momentum with the bat in the death overs. Hope to improve there.

Yes, working on my bowling and working on my aspects and got Klaasen. I am working on my batting, bowling is natural for me. I love playing golf, and hope to do well for them. Did not play golf today, the bosses will allow me to play golf."
Player of the Match: Will Jacks.
Wayne Parnell(Pretoria Capitals Captain)- "Ya, I think the victory was needed for us. We started well but lost our way. I was a bit unhappy with the total just over 200 as it was a good wicket. Our batters maintained the run rate over 10 from the very first over.

We had a very simple plan, the message was clear. You have to bowl well and do exceptionally well in the field. Ball was coming nicely on to the bat but yes, there was some extra bounce which made things difficult for the batters at times.

I think having the clarity in plans helps you to execute the things. Our death bowling needs to improve a lot because that's a key factor. Our fielding and catching was good today and we would like to continue that for the next matches."
Keshav Maharaj (Durban's Super Giants Captain): "It was a good surface upfront. We did not start well with ball, but came back with the ball. The batting never got going and then came back well. They were better than us and deserved the win. I think they played the better game.

We came back well in the death overs and brought the target to manageable levels. But we fell short. Lots of positives to take going forward in the tournament.

Yes, losing Pooran and Gleeson does not help but we have professional players to do the job for us. Looking forward to going back to Durban."
Time for the presentations.
00:39 IST and 21:09 Local Time | The Pretoria Capitals played gutsy cricket throughout and got the much coveted victory today. They defeated their opponent by 17 runs.

Batting first, the Pretoria Capitals' openers started to whack the Super Giants bowlers here and there right from the start. Will Jacks and Phil Salt posted 75 runs off 32 balls in the opening partnership before Salt got out posting 23 besides his name. Theunis de Bruyn(2) and Rilee Rossouw(11) got out cheaply but Jacks went on to do his job of boundary hitting. He got some assistance from Colin Ingram, who mustered 43 runs facing 23 balls hitting 5 fours and a maximum. Will Jacks scored a century off 41 balls and got out in the 42nd ball scoring 101 run. He had hit 8 fours and 9 maximums in doing so. Unfortunately, the Capitals lost 5 wickets inside 7 runs in the death overs and finished with 204 for 9 from 195/4.

For the Durban's Super Giants, Reece Topley was the star of the bowlers picking up 3 wickets. Junior Dala took a couple of wickets giving 32 runs away. Keshav Maharaj, Marcus Stoinis, Keemo Paul and Dwaine Pretorius shared four wickets between them each.

Coming to chase the run, Matthew Breetzke gave the Super Giants a good start. He scored 33 off 24 balls with 4 boundaries and a couple of maximums. Kyle Mayers had a miserable outing with the bat today as he scored 11 runs facing the same number of balls. Quinton de Kock added 25 runs off 20 balls. Marcus Stoinis added 13 runs off 5 balls hitting two maximums. The problem with the Super Giants batters was that none of them could score big. JJ Smuts struggled to score runs maintaining the asking rate. He scored 27 but took 23 balls. But the Super Giants came back brilliantly in the death overs. Keshav Maharaj and Dwaine Pretorius had put up a brave fight. Maharaj-Pretorius duo took the equation down to 23 off the final over but Neesham delivered an excellent final over to restrict the run. Pretorius remained unbeaten on 19 off 10 and Maharaj scored an unbeaten 25 off 12 balls. Super Giants finished on 187 for 7 after the 20 overs, losing the game by 17 runs.

For the Pretoria Capitals, the centurion Will Jacks was the star of the bowling picking up 2 wickets for 18 runs. Hardus Viljoen took a couple of wickets but gave 39 runs away while skipper Wayne Parnell took the same number of wickets giving 54 runs away. James Neesham took a wicket too.

1-28(3.0)
19.6 J Neesham to K Maharaj
1 Slower ball into the pitch, Maharaj looks to drive and gets an inside edge down to long-on for a single to end the over and the match. Pretoria Capitals get their first win in the competition with a 17-run win over Durban's Super Giants.
19.5 J Neesham to D Pretorius
1 Short of a length around off, Pretorius thumps it down the ground to long-off for a single.
19.4 J Neesham to D Pretorius
0 Back of a length slower ball outside off, Pretorius plays and misses to the keeper.
The equation is down to three legal balls only for the Capitals!
19.3 J Neesham to K Maharaj
1 Short of a length into the pitch, Maharaj pulls it away to the square leg region for a single.
19.2 J Neesham to D Pretorius
1 Fuller length angling in around off, Pretorius goes squirts it away to deep covers for a single. The ball lands in front of the fielder.
19.1 J Neesham to K Maharaj
1 Fuller length wide outside off, Maharaj drills it hard down to long-off for just a single.
23 needed from the final over. Jimmy Neesham to bowl the final over, no Eathan Bosch!? Surprised to see Eathan Bosch not delivering the final over. He did so well in the three overs he bowled today and the expensive Neesham comes to bowl the over. Relying on the experience maybe, that can be the only logic!
