Tamim Iqbal (Fortune Barishal Captain): "A very good team performance. The toss was important i think. We did adapt to the conditions well. They were excellent in the last 5 overs. I think there was some help for the bowlers with the new ball. Shamim played a brilliant knock.

I think we should have kept them under 125. We have different match winners every game and that is a good sign. We have one more game and we hope to have another hero. This is my first year with Fortune Barishal and i am surprised to get so much support from the fans."

Mushfiqur Rahim (Player of the Match): "To be honest, we won the match that was important. Credit to the bowlers for this win and we are in the finals. There was spongy bounce and lateral movement. We had to counter attack in the first six overs so that we can put the pressure on them. I think the plan was not like that. I told Kyle Mayers to play his natural game and it's a delight to bat with him as he takes the pressure off you. Happy with the win and we thought counter attacking was the best option. Thank You."

Nurul Hasan (Rangpur Riders Captain): "You know, the first six overs of the innings was crucial. We lost too many wickets. Felt sorry for the fans and franchise and we let them down in the end. Shamim Hossain was great but not enough in the end. I think we let them down with lack of support. We did well in the group stages and lost three matches initially but we could not go to the finals in the end. Very disappointing. I think the wicket helped the pacers a lot, and that's why we did not use Shakib that much. It happens but we lost too many wickets and lost the contest with the bat."

21:37 IST and 22:07 Local Time: All over. Fortune Barishal win by 6 wickets and will take on the Comilla Victorians in the grand finale of BPL 2024. The table toppers Rangpur Riders are now out of the tournament. The dug out is pumped up and they know what it means.

Put to bat first, the Barishal bowlers were all over the Rangpur Riders. They lost 3 wickets inside the powerplay and kept losing wickets in the middle overs as well and were 77-7 at one stage. Shamim Hossain Patwari walked in at 8 and played a blinder. He scored 59* off just 24 balls which helped them to get around that 150-mark. Apart from him, Neesham also got a start but was dismissed for 28.

With the ball, Barishal were perfect with the new ball and also in the middle overs. Mohammad Saifuddin was the excellent with the new ball and ended with the figures of 2/27. James Fuller was also brilliant in the middle overs and had 3 wickets to his name. They were a bit expensive in the backend and were smashed all around the park by Shamim Hossain.

Coming to the chase, they were off to a decent start but lost both their openers in the 4th over. Soumya Sarkar and Mushfiqur Rahim stitched up a good little partnership with the latter being the pick of the batters and went on to play a fine knock of 47* off 38. Kyle Mayers was also impressive and played a good little knock of 28 off just 15 balls in the middle order.

For Rangpur Riders, Abu Hider Rony was excellent with the new ball and got rid of both the openers. Nabi and Farooqi also bowled decently and picked up a wicket each but were not consistent and failed to pick up wickets at regular intervals. That's it. So Fortune Barishal will take on the Comilla Victorians in the finale of BPL 2024.

Coming to the ball, Fuller length delivery and in the arc, Miller takes it on and lofts it away over midwicket. Shamim Hossain Patwari makes a great effort to take the catch, but the ball beats him and goes over the ropes for the maximum. Barishal are delighted with this win.
