So that marks the end of our coverage from the 27th match of the ongoing BPL between Rangpur Riders and Chattogram Challengers. This is your text commentator, Saptak Sanyal signing off on the behalf of our scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer.
Nurul Hasan Sohan (Rangpur Riders Captain)- "You know the wicket was really pretty good and Rony and Reeza gave us the required momentum. The wicket was good and that's why thought of 190 right from the start. Jimmy Neesham batted really well and we got 211 on the board. Yes, the powerplay was important while we were defending the runs and our bowlers have delivered. We are just in the halfway stage of the tournament, hopefully we will continue the momentum."
Jimmy Neesham (Player of the Match)- "Very happy with my performance. I am glad that I contributed to my team's win after joining the squad. Yes, I have recovered from the hamstring injury and it feels good to take that type of catch. Our boys have started the innings well and that momentum was crucial for us. Yes, the wicket was spinning sometimes but I adapted to the conditions quickly."
Player of the Match- Jimmy Neesham
Shuvagata Hom (Chattogram Challengers Captain)- "If a team crosses 200 and you come to chase the run, you need to go hard right from the start. It would have been helpful for us if we could restrict them to 180. We didn't use the powerplay well and Shykat hit well after that. I think we should shun our mistakes. If we could take the catch of Neeshan, we would have been in a stronger position. Our bowlers bowled well throughout the innings but today was a bad day for them."
16:17 IST and 16:47 Local Time | The Rangpur Riders have continued their good form and registered a mammoth victory by 53 runs to boost their run rate.

Coming to bat first after winning the toss, the Rangpur Riders got off to a good start as their openers got going. Rony Talukdar scored 24 runs off 17 balls with 3 boundaries and a maximum before his departure. After a 60-run opening stand, Shakib Al Hasan stitched a good partnership with Reeza Hendricks, the other opener. Shakib batted for 16 balls and scored 27 runs and got out to Salauddin Sakil and in that very over, Sakil removed Hendricks too. Hendricks scored 58 runs off 41 balls with 5 boundaries and 3 maximums. Nurul Hasan Sohan, the skipper registered a 89 run partnership off 51 deliveries with Jimmy Neesham after that. Neesham quickly got to his fifty of just 26 balls and remained unbeaten on 51 hitting 5 boundaries and 3 maximums. Sohan scored 31 off 21 balls.

For the Chattogram Challengers, Salauddin Sakil was the star of the show with 2 wickets beside his name. Nihaduzzaman took the other wicket.

Coming to chase the run, the Chattogram Challengers struggled from the start. Josh Brown got out scoring 10 and Shykat Ali took a lot of time before getting a go. He played a lot of dot balls right at the start and that had hurt the team. Tom Bruce and Shahadat Hossain Dipu got out cheaply but Curtis Campher hit a few boundaries and scored 24 runs off 21 balls. Shykat Ali hit a few maximums to score 63 off 45 balls hitting six maximums and a boundary. Skipper Shuvagata Hom made some late strikes and remained unbeaten on 31 off 13 balls hitting 3 boundaries and 2 maximums. The Challengers finished on 158 losing 6 wickets which is 53 runs short of the target.

Shakib Al Hasan and Jimmy Neesham took a couple of wickets each and Imran Tahir took one wicket for the Rangpur Riders.
