Shuvagata Hom, Chattogram Challengers - The wicket was a tough one and there was spin and bounce on it. We were 15-20 runs short but did well with the ball. The two overseas players from Australia and New Zealand did really well and we did well with the ball in the powerplay. We had our sights set for the playoffs and we're taking it game by game. We have some important games coming up and we are setting our plans accordingly.
Shohidul Islam, Player of the match - We tried to keep the balls in the right areas and didn't let the batters get away. There was some dew in the field as well and we planned our strategies accordingly. The bowlers were really pumped up and we managed to do well as a unit.
Tamim Iqbal, Fortune Barishal Captain- The way they started , it was always going to be a difficult wicket. Keeping them to 140 was a good job but we never started well. We kept on loosing wickets and in the end it became a bit too difficult. Both Bruce and Brown batted well but we failed to score in the powerplay. The loss of wickets was an issue. The dew factor wasn't there and it was a tough one to play on.
21:33 IST, 22:03 Local time- Saifuddin fought a lonely battle in the end and he finished things off with a maximum but the Fortune Barishal finish with a meagre 129/8 in their 20 overs. They've lost this low scoring game by 16 runs and the Challengers have been outstanding here with the ball as they managed to grab this game from the jaws of defeat.
Tamim and Shehzad started off well but they lost the momentum in the middle as Shehzad tried to take on Hossain and holed out to Bruce. It became a procession after that as they lost two hard hitters, Soumya Sarkar and Mehidy Hasan for 0. Mushfiqur and Tamim put together a small partnership but Rahim became a victim of Shykat Ali.
The hopes rested on Tamim at that stage and he started too find the boundaries more frequently. Shoaib Malik helped him a bit he struck a few lusty blows too. However the duo fell in the quest of quick runs as they couldn't find their timing against the seam bowlers of Chattogram.
Al- Amin Hossain picked up two wickets and he showed his quality but the pick of the bowlers was Shohidul Islam. He nailed his yorkers to perfection and bowled with variations too as he managed to get three scalps to his name. The spinner Nihaduzzaman and Bilal Khan got a wicket apiece but were highly economical.
