So, that's a wrap up on the proceedings of the first game of the day. The second game of BPL is on its way soon. Do join us for that one and for all other fixtures around the globe, stick around to our network for all the action. For now, this is Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Wali Siddiqui alongside scorer/analyst Ghanendra Singh Thakur. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodbye and CHEERS!
Shuvagata Hom (Chattogram Challengers Captain): "Great feeling. Credit to the whole team. They have worked hard and are reaping the rewards. Yes, definitely. Powerplay had runs in it. Top order got off to a great start and made it easier. Bilal Khan bowled well and others also bowled well to their strengths. Everyone kept their lines and lengths going and this has been a team effort in my view. Thank You so much."
Bilal Khan (Player of the Match): "Yes, thank you so much. I am keeping it simple stumps to stumps and getting rewards out there. Yes, work on new balls and trying to swing. Wicket is slow and varying the pace and line and lengths here."
Time for the presentations.
Mashrafe Mortaza (Sylhet Strikers Captain): "Yes, obviously. Losing 4 in a row is hard. We have a match tomorrow so let's see how it goes tomorrow. I think bowling was great for them. The top order batting is costing us. Disappointing batting display from us. Someone has to go big and go at 10 runs an over. Credit to Chattogram bowlers and we batted badly and that was the bottom line for us. Poor batting performance from us."
4:06 PM IST, 4:36 PM Local Time: A comprehensive win for Chattogram Challengers as they outplay the Sylhet Strikers here in Sylhet. They win the game by 8 wickets with 14 balls to spare and have outplayed their opponents in all facets of the game. Problems continue to pound up for the Strikers.

Chasing a paltry target of 138 for the win, the Challengers came out all guns blazing and never looked in trouble. Avishka Fernando was the first one to go for 17 off 12 balls. But it was the Tanzid Hasan-Tom Bruce show as they had a match winning partnership out there. Tanzid scored 50 off 40 balls. Tom Bruce remained unbeaten on 51* off 44 balls. Shahadat Hossain Dipu remained unbeaten on 13* off 11 balls. 7 extras given by the fielding side. The target was achieved in 17.4 overs.

Only 2 wickets were taken by Sylhet Strikers and those were taken by Harry Tector and Tanzim Hasan Sakib. The rest of the bowlers remained wicketless.

Earlier in the game, Sylhet Strikers won the toss and elected to bat first. They lost their openers Najmul Hossain Shanto and Mohammad Mithun early. Harry Tector played well for his 45 off 42 balls while Zakir Hasan looked good for his 31 off 26 balls. Ryan Burl was unbeaten in the end with his 34* off 29 balls. Ariful Haque got a quick cameo of 17* off 12 balls. 4 extras given by the fielding side as Sylhet Strikers ended with 137/4 in 20 overs.

Bilal Khan was the pick of the bowlers for Chattogram Challengers with figures of 3/24 in 4 overs. His first spell was incisive. A wicket also to Nihaduzzaman who finished with figures of 1/27 in 4 overs. The bowlers set the match up with a disciplined bowling performance before the batters completed the formalities.

So, Chattogram Challengers win by 8 wickets with 14 balls left and climb to the top of the points table. Stay tuned for the post-match presentations.
17.4 D Hemantha to T Bruce
1 Bowls it short and wide as that's been punched to sweeper cover for one. That's that as the Challengers have secured a comprehensive win.

17.1 D Hemantha to Dipu
