Milestone
So, that marks the end of our coverage from the 4th game of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League between Khulna Tigers and Chattogram Challengers. For now, this is Saptak Sanyal signing off on the behalf of my co-commentator Ayan Chatterjee and our scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer. Good night, stay safe. CHEERS!
Anamul Haque (Khulna Tigers Captain): "Yes, the first match. Nahidul bowled really well and Nasum bowled well. The bowling was great and 120 odd was a great effort.

True, we did not bat well in the powerplay. Mahmudul Hasan Joy batted well and winning is a habit and am happy we did get the win in the end. I hope our top order batters bat better than this. But happy with the win.

Next game is a day game for us. So, we would want to rest up and see combinations and see where we go from here. Hope to get more wins in the coming games."
Nahidul Islam(Player of the Match)- "It is a good bowling performance from us. I always try to understand the wicket and bowl at the right line and lengths.

It is always better to rid the batter because it helps a lot. Fortunately, today has been a great day for me. I executed things perfectly."
Player of the Match- Nahidul Islam
Shuvagata Hom (Chattogram Challengers Captain): "We had a bad powerplay and lost wickets at regular intervals. We lacked partnerships in the middle. Yes, of course, Middle overs were bad as well.

Shohidul played well towards the end. We needed 20 more runs to make a match out of it.

The bowlers tried their best. We kept at it. We picked up 3 early wickets in the powerplay and then could not breakthrough after that. It happens.

We will look into our mistakes, rectify it and come back stronger in the next game. Thank You."
Time for the presentations.
21:22 IST and 21:52 Local Time | The Khulna Tigers started their campaign on a high note with a win against the Chattogram Challengers.

Losing the toss, the Chattogram Challengers came to bat first. They lost early wickets due to an excellent opening spell from Nahidul Islam. They lost Avishka Fernando and Imran Uzzaman quickly. Tanzid Hasan smashed a few boundaries but got perished on 19. Najibullah Zadran stood firm for 22 balls and scored 24 runs. Wickets tumbled for the Challengers in the middle order as Shuvagata Hom(2) and Curtis Campher(7) got out quickly. Shohidul Islam was the top scorer of the first innings. He was looking uncomfortable at the start but managed to score 40 runs off 31 balls. Due to his late hitting, the Chattogram posted 121 before losing all the wickets.

Nahidul Islam was the star of the bowling with 4 wickets giving just 12 runs away, bowling 4 overs. Faheem Ashraf took 3 wickets and Oshane Thomas took 2 wickets but he was expensive giving 38 runs.

Coming to chase the run, the Khulna Tigers started the innings with a high run rate as Evin Lewis scored 12 runs off 6 balls. But after that, they lost Evin Lewis, Anamul Haque and Shai Hope got out in a quick succession. Aftr losing a few quick wickets, the Khulna Tigers came back riding on the patient batting of Afif Hossain and Mahmudul Hasan Joy. Afif scored 26 runs off 28 balls but Mahmudul Hasan Joy scored 39 runs off 44 balls and took the chase through. Faheem Ashraf played a late cameo of 15 runs off 8 balls to ensure his team go home with 4 wickets and 10 balls remaining.

Al-Amin Hossain bowled very firmly and took a couple of wickets and Shohidul Islam also took 2 wickets. Bilal Khan and Nihaduzzaman took one each wicket each. But that was not enough for them. They eventually lost the match.
The game is finished with a no-ball!
