So that marks the end of our coverage from the decider one day of the three-match ODI series between Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe. The Sri Lankan side have won the series by 2-0 margin comfortably.

For now, this is Saptak Sanyal signing off on the behalf of my co-commentators Ayan Chatterjee and Deepak Prakash and our scorer/analyst Ghanendra Singh Thakur and Dushyant Madhukar Kumar. GOOD NIGHT!
Kusal Mendis goes and collects the trophy from the dignatories and now takes it to his team. The team now pose for the photographs with the CHAMPIONS BANNER in front of them. The smiles are back in the Sri Lankan camp as they win the series 2-0.
Kusal Mendis(Sri Lanka Captain)- "I am happy with the win. I am very much pleased with the batting of Janith Liyanage and also confident regarding the team's bowling unit.

I am enjoying my job as captain and I am looking forward to do this job."
Craig Ervine (Zimbabwe Captain): "Look, I think the guys showed a great fight. I think we started well before the rain break and Wanindu's spell took the game away from us. We bowled well, but couldn't get it together. Looking forward to the T20IS. I think we need to look at areas that we need to work on and see how it goes. These conditions are alien to us, but it's all about the learning curve for us. We will come back stronger in the T20IS. Hope to do well there."
Janith Liyanage(Player of the Series)- "I am very pleased and happy. I was performing well in the domestic and I just tried to trust my game. Playing my natural game has paid off.

I don't mind playing anywhere for the team. I just enjoy playing. Zimbabwe played really good cricket and they gave us a good fight. This series will remain as a good experience for me."
Player of the Series- Janith Liyanage
Wanindu Hasaranga (Player of the Match): "I am back after 4.5 months. Thank everyone who supported me during the period. My last tournament was LPL. I didn't play cricket after that. Worked hard to come back here and played a couple of domestic games before that. I was not aware of the records. Looking ahead to the T20IS, I think we know their strengths and we know how to go about that. I have captained the  B-Love Kandy team in LPL. So, I am aware as to how to go about captaincy. Hope to do well in the coming games and the T20IS."
Player of the Match: Wanindu Hasaranga.
Time for the presentations.
22:18 IST and Local Time | Sri Lanka chased down the paltry target of 97 in just 16.4 overs and with 8 wickets remaining. All the credit goes to a terrific bowling spell by Wanindu Hasaranga and an anchoring innings filled with boundaries by Kusal Mendis.

In the rain-curtailed decider one day game, the Zimbabwe side's batting fell like a pack of cards in front of the comeback man- Pinnaduwage Wanindu Hasaranga de Silva!! Zimbabwe came to bat first. The opening pair of Joylord Gumbie and Takudzwanashe Kaitano started the innings well. They had a 40 run partnership between them when the first rain break came. They added 3 more and the partnership was broken by Hasaranga after the play resumed. He took three more wickets before the second break came. Gumbie scored 29, Kaitano scored 17 before getting out. Hasaranga kept on disturbing the Zimbabwe batters with his variations and Milton Shumba, Craig Ervine and Clive Madande became his wickets. Janith Liyanage and Maheesh Theekshana took a wicket in the middle over phase. Wellington Masakadza(11) and Luke Jongwe(14) gave some fight back to ensure their team post 96 on the board. Hasaranga was the star of the show, recording his best ever bowling figure in the ODI cricket with 7/19. He picked up the wickets of Wellington Masakadza and Blessing Muzarabani at the end. Maheesh Theekshana, Janith Liyanage and Dilshan Madushanka took a wicket each.

Coming out to chase the run, Sri Lanka lost their opener Avishka Fernando for a duck. He got dismissed by Richard Ngarava for the third time in this series and managed to score only 4 runs from the 3 matches of the series! Kusal Mendis came in then and started to hit plethora of boundaries to post a high score inside the powerplay. The debutant Shevon Daniel was struggling to cope up with the pace of Muzarabani and Ngarava and he scored only 12 off 28 balls. He got out mistiming a flighted delivery from Wellington Masakadza. But Mendis reached his 27th career half-century in ODI in just 37 balls and anchored the chase throughout. He remained unbeaten on 66. Sadeera Samarawickrama scored 14 runs of the 17 balls he faced and remained unbeaten to score the winning shot for his team.

Stay tuned for the post match presentations.
