Milestone
Time to wrap up our coverage as well, folks! For now, this is Deepak Prakash signing off on behalf of scorer/analyst Chandan Kumar Singh. CHEERS!
Chris Jordan (Player of the Match): "It was a great win for the team.  In those crucial moments, it's all about executing and securing the win, plain and simple.

I've been focusing on a few aspects with the bowling coach, aiming to operate at my maximum speed, and I'm seeing positive results.

It's inspiring to see the under-19 players performing, and it reminds us of the importance of constantly evolving and improving."
Player of the Match: Chris Jordan
James Vince (Gulf Giants Captain): "It felt similar to the last game, especially when the spinners came on, we found it tough to keep the momentum. We were trying to figure out what would be a competitive score on that pitch. Their spinners were effective, but Jamie Smith's innings helped us post a competitive total.

Our bowlers, especially CJ, were outstanding with those yorkers. Smith's quality is undeniable, he's a class act. My role is mainly to support the bowlers and adapt quickly to the situation. CJ's consistency with yorkers, we're in a good position. Three games ago, we were feeling the pressure to secure a top 4 spot, but if we win on Saturday, we could even finish in the top two."

Kieron Pollard (MI Emirates Captain): "Obviously at the end, we were just one hit away. But I just thought that we gave away 10-15 runs too much on the field. It's difficult to come in and try to get set.

Obviously, we lost a couple of wickets in one over, and then when Odean came in, you had to allow him to start on the track. So we were trying to calculate it. I think at one point we wanted to go, but you're playing against an opposition and I thought those guys, especially Chris Jordan, he bowled well."
Biggest six of the Match: Jordan Thompson (88m)
Time for the post-match presentation....
Kusal Perera (Green belt for leading run-scorer): "The tournament is still alive, and we're giving it our all. I'm focusing on my strengths and keeping my approach straightforward. Our plan is to come out strong in the powerplay and give it everything we've got."
11:34 PM IST, 10:04 PM Local Time: Despite conceding 24 runs in the final over, the Gulf Giants managed to secure a victory by 5 runs. This win not only solidifies their position in the playoffs but also propels them to the second spot on the points table.

Earlier, after being invited to bat first, James Vince provided a solid start to Gulf Giants, as he scored at a brisk pace from the word go and kept the scoreboard ticking at a decent pace. However, Jordan Cox, the other opener, failed to make an impact with the bat and departed for a mere 2 runs off 5 balls. Chris Lynn joined Vince in the middle but failed to get in his rhythm and departed for 16 runs off 17 balls.

Gulf Giants were going well in the powerplay, and after the introduction of the spinners, they struggled to score runs quickly and lost a few wickets in the process, which included the wicket of on-song batter James Vince, who notched up his fifty but failed to carry the momentum and departed for 59 runs. MIE spinners exploited the conditions well and put the Gulf Giants on the backfoot in the middle overs.

Gulf Giants kept losing wickets at regular intervals, but Jamie Smith's crucial and unbeaten 26-ball 43 runs have helped the Giants post a defendable 158/7 in 20 overs.

Waqar Salamkheil shone with the ball for MI Emirates, claiming three wickets. Vijayakanth Viyaskanth, Odean Smith, and Dan Mousley celebrated a solitary wicket.

In pursuit of 158 runs, MI Emirates lost Muhammad Waseem, Andre Fletcher, and Ambati Rayudu cheaply. However, Kusal Perera scored at a decent pace to keep the run rate in check, but he failed to carry the momentum for long and departed for 34 runs off 25 balls, leaving his side in a spot of bother.

Kieron Pollard and Odean Smith started the rescue mission and the pair took their time to settle on the crease. Pollard switched gears and scored at a brisk pace and the partnership between the duo moved to 50 runs, but Smith departed for 12 runs, losing his wicket at the crucial juncture of the match. Pollard followed suit, departing after scoring 40 runs off 31 balls. Jordan Thompson played a late cameo of 9-ball 26* runs and smashed 24 runs in the final over, but MIE fell just 5 runs short of the target.

Chris Jordan bagged a couple of wickets for Gulf Giants, while Gerhard Erasmus, Blessing Muzarabani, Jamie Overton, and Aayan Afzal Khan celebrated a solitary wicket to MI Emirates' downfall.

Stay tuned for the post-match presentation....
