Azam Khan, Player of the match - Hands are pretty good and enjoying the game. I always believe in myself and I know that I have the ability to finish the game. I don't really go after the records and focus on my own batting. It's about the strike rate. Looking forward to celebrating the win tonight.
Colin Munro, Desert Vipers Captain - We started off well with the ball but allowed them to get around 10-15 more but the batters did the job. Alex Hales played well and Azam Khan was unbelievable. Happy to have spend some time in the middle and had been asking my coaches for some tips ,which paid off. We're in the middle of the table now so will see how that goes.
James Vince, Gulf Giants - We didn't get off to a great start, loosing myself early. It was a good pitch so 160 was never going to be enough. Azam Khan , took the game away from us and it was an outstanding knock from him. You can't let the opposition to get ahead of you in this format. We will dust this off and look to come back stronger from here.
19:27 IST, 17:57 Local time- It was an anti climax in the end as Muzarabani bowled a WIDE which won the Desert Vipers the game but it has been an emphatic win for them as they clinch this game by 6 wickets and with three overs to spare. They've finished off with 161/4 in 17 overs , courtesy two big knocks from Colin Munro and Azam Khan and the pair played some unbelievable cricket to make a mockery of the target at the end.
The Vipers lost Mustafa early on but Hales took his time to get himself in and played a really solid knock. He found the gaps in the outfield during the powerplay as the bowlers used the cutters and once the restrictions were lifted, scored more freely. Along with Munro, he set the stage for the Vipers to chase the total down as they were well ahead of the Giants at the halfway stage of the innings.
Zohaib Zubair picked up two wickets including Hales and the dangerous Hasaranga but that was all he could do. Azam Khan came in with in some superb intent and started to go berserk from ball one. He targeted the seamers and went after Brathwaite and Overton to make things easy for the Vipers. Munro, inspired from him , teed off against Zubair and picked up 26 runs from his one over. That over pretty much ensured that the game was a done deal and also led the two batters to get to their fifties.

WD WIDE! Muzarabani misses his line and bowls it way too far outside off stump. It will be a 6 wicket win for the Desert Vipers and they end up with 161/4 in 17 overs and Azam Khan remains unbeaten on 50!

W The big Zimbabwean strikes! It was bowled into the surface and around the line of middle stump. Munro had a swipe at it and he got a leading edge on that one. It held up in the air before Gerhard Erasmus came underneath it and took it easily. Fourth one down now for the Vipers.

It's time for a Strategic Time-Out here. Zubair came under some severe treatment in that over as both the batters took him on and completed their respective 50's ! The Vipers are on course for a big win here and they need just two more runs from the next four overs.
