I think the way they started that chase and once you said that to one of the first six over to it's always difficult to come back in the game.

Mitch McClenaghan (Legend of the match) - "It was a nice wicket for my style of bowling and be able to bowl hard cutters on the pitch. The strategy of the team was outstanding. Pankaj Singh at top was outstanding as well.
He has been out best bowler in the powerplay, which i was unable to do in the last couple of games. we go with some momentum now into the final. We have learnt our lessons and we need to take on Dwayne Smith and Martin Guptill at the top and we have to go with our plans".

22:29 IST and Local Time - Manipal Tigers are into the grand finale of Legend League Cricket 2023 and will take on Urbanrisers Hyderabad on Saturday.
They lost the Qualifier 1 against the Urbanrisers but they will make sure they take them on again in the finals. They are delighted and so they should be.
Opting to field first, the Manipal Tigers, were on money straight away with the ball. They restricted the Capitals to a below-par total of 177 runs. They picked up 3 wickets inside the powerplay and never allowed the Capitals to settle and build up a partnership. Thisara Perera (20/3) and Mitch McClenaghan (28/3) were brilliant for them and ensured the Capitals didn't get away with easy boundaries.
With the bat, they lost a couple of early wickets but made sure they didn't slow down in the process and kept scoring at a good pace. It was that partnership in the end between the experienced Kiwi Colin De Grandhomme and Asela Gunaratne who scored 38* and 39* runs respectively and ensured they crossed the finish line.

For India Capitals, nothing went their way today with their top order not able to play big tonight, and they were certainly 20-25 runs short from the way finished. Kevin Pietersen was the only positive for them with the bat who managed to register a 50 to his name. With the ball, they did well to pick up two early wickets inside the powerplay but were also expensive and failed to break partnerships in the middle overs.

The table toppers finish with a 6-wicket victory here against the Capitals and will face the Urbanrisers on Saturday.
