So, that is it from myself, Karthik Raj, Ayan Chatterjee and our scorer for this game, Ashok Dayma. It is cricket season. So, they are plenty of cricket matches coming up later today. Stay tuned and our coverage.
Cole McConchie (Canterbury Kings captain): "Nice to get the momentum going into the play-offs. The platform Chad and Tommy have set up in the last few games has been amazing."
Nick Kelly (Wellington Firebirds Captain): "Yes, no. Few of the boys knew the calculations well. Wanted to win this game. But we will come back stronger in a week's time. We were sloppy in the outfield and gave away some runs in the end. They played better than us today. We will put this in the back side and come back stronger in the Elimination Final on Friday. Looking forward to it. The guys are confident of doing well."
Henry Nicholls (Gamechanger of the Match):"We certainly thought it was holding enough. The partnership up top from Tom and set us up. We wanted a few more than what we got. But it was a winning score anyway if we bowled well. Really enjoying playing with the boys. Pretty exciting to have the knock-out fixture ahead of us. Any time, in T20 you put yourself under pressure. Wellington did that and we responded well"

What a clinical performance from Canterbury Kings as they wrap up a 18-run win over Wellington Firebirds. Defending 179, Canterbury didn’t bowl particularly well in the Powerplay as Nick Kelly looked in good touch. However, Michael Rae castled Kelly in the fifth over before dismissing Muhammad Abbas in his next over too.

The duo of Gareth Severin and Michael Bracewell got together to stitch a promising partnership with the latter producing boundaries with ease. Just as Wellington got ahead, Will O’Rourke got the better of Bracewell with Cole McConchie taking a fantastic catch at long-on. A few deliveries later, Michael Rippon had Troy Johnson stumped as the chase started to slip away from Wellington. Wickets continued to fall with O’Rourke getting his second scalp as Callum McLachlan departing after a 13-ball struggle. In the 16th over, Severin’s resistance also came to an end as Angus McKenzie produced a fantastic yorker to get his first wicket of the game. Logan van Beek tried his best with a 20-run cameo but McKenzie got the better of him. With the game pretty much done and dusted, Adam Milne provided some entertainment in the final over but Canterbury Kings sealed a 18-run win in the end.

4 FOUR! A boundary to finish the game.  Fuller length wide outside off, Milne looks to swing it away and gets the outside edge that flies over the slip cordon and away to the third man fence for a boundary. But it does not matter. Wellington Firebirds lose the game. Canterbury Kings win this game by 18 runs and are through to the Elimination Final. Firebirds despite losing this, still make it to the next stage as well.
