Pitch Report: The pictures of the pitch have been released on Twitter, and it looks like a lush green surface. This is a typical Wellington pitch, and the pacers will enjoy their time out there in the middle. The batting is expected to be tough in this match, and they will have to settle down in order to score runs. As the match will go on, the shorter balls will be used in the later days.

Team Update of Auckland Aces: They have named the same winning squad for this game as well, with Finn Allen being again released from the BlackCaps squad for this fixture before he joins back with the national team for the T20Is against Bangladesh. While Lockie Ferguson (returning to fitness), Simon Keene (ankle), and Yahya Zeb (shoulder) still recovering from their respective injuries, Mark Chapman and Adithya Ashok are busy with their international commitments.

Squad: Finn Allen, Martin Guptill, Sean Solia, Robert O'Donnell (c), James Neesham, Cam Fletcher (wk), Ryan Harrison, Danru Ferns, Louis Delport, Nikith Perera, Ben Lister, Jock McKenzie.
Team Update of Wellington Firebirds: They have made one change to their winning squad by replacing Michael Snedden with Ben Sears. Sears has been released by New Zealand to play in this fixture, giving him a chance to play as a frontline seamer against a tough Auckland squad. However, he will return to the national side after this match. The other Kiwis remain unavailable for selection due to their duties with the team, with Tom Blundell being the only Firebird not also in the squad for the T20Is against Bangladesh.

Squad: Nick Kelly (c), Muhammad Abbas, Nick Greenwood, Troy Johnson, Callum McLachlan (wk), Ollie Newton, Tim Robinson, Ben Sears, Nathan Smith, Jesse Tashkoff, Logan van Beek, Peter Younghusband
