Thank you all for joining us for the encounter between South Africa and Sri Lanka Women. Stay tuned to our network for more exciting cricketing action from around the world. This is Saipavan Janaki signing off, alongside my co-commentator Saptak Sanyal and scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer. Have a wonderful night! 🏏
Laura Wolvaardt (South Africa Women Captain and Player of the Match)- "It is a very very special moment to get a century and I was very happy once I got the run. We had a lot of conversations yesterday and today we tried to push each other. Our target was to put anything over 180 and we did that. We tried to remove Chamari at the start and see Kapp is a world class bowler who can change the game. Luckily we got her wicket. We should have been a touch tighter with the ball and we should improve that. I am very happy for Sune Luus as she achieved this feat. Hopefully she will be back for us in the next game."
Player of the Match - Laura Wolvaardt
Chamari Athapaththu (Sri Lanka Women Captain)- "I want to appreciate Laura. She has played really good. We got down as we dropped 2-3 catches. If you see closely, our bowlers have also struggled. We should have done well with the bat in the powerplay. Unfortunately I got out in the first over. We need to improve these and execute our plans at the right time. We have to improve in all the three departments. We know this conditions and we should talk about improving our game."
Time for post match presentations.
01.04 AM IST, 09.44 PM Local Time: South Africa Women clinch victory in style with an outstanding all-round performance, taking the lead in the series with a commanding 1-0 scoreline in the three-match T20 series. They secured a comprehensive win over Sri Lanka Women, triumphing by a margin of 79 runs.

Earlier, South Africa Women posted an imposing total of 198/5 after being asked to bat first in the T20I clash. Tazmin Brits provided a brisk start with 15 off 8 balls before falling to Inoshi Fernando. Laura Wolvaardt and Marizanne Kapp then took charge, forming a formidable partnership of 116 runs off 79 deliveries.

Kapp scored a quickfire 60 off 40 balls, while Wolvaardt showcased her brilliance with a stunning century, reaching 102 off just 54 balls. Wolvaardt's innings included 12 fours and 3 sixes. Sune Luus chipped in with a handy 14 runs. Achini Kulasuriya was the pick of the Sri Lankan bowlers, claiming 2 wickets for 39 runs in her 4 overs, while Fernando managed to scalp 1 wicket.

In pursuit of a challenging target of 199 runs, Sri Lanka Women faced early setbacks as they struggled to 42 runs in the first 6 overs, losing two crucial wickets including skipper Chamari Athapaththu who departed for just 1 run, and Vishmi Gunaratne who managed 8 runs.

Harshitha Madavi and Hasini Perera, this duo looked good in the middle. Sri Lanka Women scored 48 runs in 7 overs and lost two wickets then unwanted guest rain started and interrupted the play. After the half an hour rain break. They both came back and added 44 runs for the third wicket.

Perera scored a brisk 30 off 18 balls, while Madavi contributed 38 off 33 balls. Unfortunately, Sri Lanka's batting faltered thereafter, losing wickets at regular intervals and eventually being bowled out for 119 runs in 18.2 overs.

Tumi Sekhukhune and Annerie Dercksen claimed two wickets each for South Africa Women, while Marizanne Kapp, Chloe Lesleigh Tryon, Nadine de Klerk, and Masabata Klaas chipped in with one wicket each, sealing a comprehensive victory for the home side.
