9:03 PM IST: We have witnessed a low scoring thriller here in Bengaluru and in the end, Hubli Tigers held their nerve to win by 3 wickets with 8 balls to spare to get to 14 points and they have now become the first team to qualify for the semi-finals. The Lions tried their best with the ball, but had too low a score to defend.
Chasing what looked like a straightforward target of 131, Hubli Tigers lost early wickets to the spin of Shreyas Gopal. Impact Player Mohammad Taha made 12 runs. But there were single digit scores out there. KL Shrijith held the innings together and scored an excellent 50 off 41 balls. Pravin Dubey scored 18 off 17 balls. Manvanth Kumar played a crucial knock of 27 off 21 balls including three sixes of Shreyas Gopal at the end. Bangalore Mohith was unbeaten on 4 and Lavish Kaushal also played a crucial knock of 14* off 7 and won the game for his side in the end as the target was achieved in 18,4 overs.
