This is the highest chase in Hamilton and New Zealand had to dig deep to win this game. Kane Williamson leads the way alongside Will Young as New Zealand wins the series 2-0.

Let's recap you the whole Test match panned out in 4 days that we had. South Africa won the toss and decided to bat first. They got plenty of starts with Ruan de Swardt top scoring with 64. von Berg scored 38 while there were plenty of 20s and 30s in the innings. South Africa managed to get to 242 all out. William O'Rourke picked up 4 wickets on his debut bowling innings and Rachin Ravindra picked up 3 wickets as well. Henry, Wagner, Southee bagged a wicket each to their name.

In reply, New Zealand were bowled out for 211. Tom Latham scored 40 while Kane Williamson scored 43 while Will Young scored 36 and Rachin Ravindra scored 29. But the lower middle order was blown away apart from Wagner who added 33 quick runs as they conceded a 31-run lead to the visitors. Dane Piedt was the pick of the bowlers with 5 wickets while Dane Paterson chipped in with 3 wickets as well. Moreki got a wicket as well.

With a lead of 31 runs, South Africa rode on a masterclass from David Bedingham who scored 110 off 141 balls to charge forward in the innings. Neil Brand scored 34 while Keegan Petersen scored 43. But South Africa lost their last 6 wickets for 33 runs to be bowled out for 235. William O'Rourke was the stand out with 5 wickets to his name and 9 for the match. A couple of wickets for Glenn Phillips as well.

Tasked with chasing 267 for the win in a record chase, New Zealand rode on a masterclass from the legend himself Kane Williamson as he notched his 32nd Test hundred and his 3rd in the series, He was unbeaten on 133* off 260 balls as he guided the chase throughout mixing caution with aggression. He was ably supported by Will Young who was unbeaten with 60* off 134 balls as the duo shared an unbroken stand of 152 for the fourth wicket. Tom Latham got 30 while Ravindra got 20 to his name.

Dane Piedt picked up all the three wickets to fall in the innings as he finished with 8 in the match. The Proteas pacers bowled well but no luck whatsoever. It was a hard fought Test match as New Zealand prevailed due to the Kane Williamson masterclass.

So, New Zealand wins the series 2-0 and it is their first ever series win over South Africa in Tests.
