That also brings an end to our coverage of this game. So, New Zealand win the series by 4-1 and Pakistan have successfully avoided the white wash. Stay tuned to our network with lots action coming your way. For now, this is me Hiren Kumar signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Ayan Chatterjee and Scorcer/Analyst Ashok Dayma.
So, Mitchell Santner gets the trophy and takes it to his teammates who stand in front of the winner's board. They deserve this series win, despite going down 4-1 in the series.
Finn Allen (Player of the Series): "I have been trying to be a bit more consistent in my approach. Want to assess conditions and see how it goes. My role is to attack the bowling but also give yourself time and settle into the innings. Glad I could do that through the series. Disappointed that we lost today, but happy that we won the series 4-1. We would have taken this any day."
Finn Allen is the Player of the Series.
Mitchell Santner (New Zealand Captain): "The pitch slowed down a lot in the second innings. We were pretty happy to chase that score in the second innings. I think we were outplayed in the second innings by Pakistan who showed their mettle out there. The powerplay was important for us on this slow wicket. We always talk about taking the game deep, But today it was a learning curve for us and we will learn a lot from this outing I feel going ahead."
Shaheen Afridi (Pakistan Captain): "Iftikhar is a very experienced player and is always ready to bowl for us. We wanted to give everyone a chance with the bowling and also gave chances to the youngsters to have game time and prove themselves. We have sorted out 16-20 players for The World Cup. I want to thank everyone for the support. The crowd has been fantastic."
Iftikhar Ahmed (Player of the Match): "I read the wicket and bowled accordingly. The wicket was slow and spinning and had a lot for the spinners. My aim was to bowl wicket to wicket. You miss, I hit stuff. Shaheen told me before the game that I would bowl and I was ready for it. Whenever the team needs me, I will bowl Have done that in the past."
Iftikhar Ahmed is the Player of the Match.
Pakistan's 134/8 is the lowest score defended in New Zealand in T20IS. The previous record was 156/6 by Australia against New Zealand in 2021.

This is also New Zealand's second lowest score batting second at home. The previous lowest was 80 in 2010 against Pakistan at AMI Stadium in Christchurch.
8:45 IST and 4:15 PM local time - Pakistan win by 42 runs and avoid the whitewash. A clinical bowling performance from the visitors today and finally have something to celebrate on this tour.

Opting to bat first, Pakistan were off to a shaky start with their debutant going back into the hut in the first over. Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam spent some time on the crease and made sure they don't lose any wickets further inside the powerplay. Babar Azam looked scratchy and scored only 13 off 24 balls before being dismissed by Ish Sodhi.

Fakhar Zaman then joined Mohammad Rizwan in the middle and came out with a positive intent. He played a breezy knock of 33 off 16 but was later cut short by Tim Southee. Rizwan also did not stay for long and was later dismissed by Henry. Handy cameos by Sahibzada Farhan and Abbas Afridi in the end helped Pakistan to post up 134 on the board.

With the ball, the Kiwis were top notch and made full use of the conditions. The trio of Tim Southee, Matt Henry, and Lockie Ferguson all bowled well and picked up 2 wickets each. Ish Sodhi was also brilliant in the middle overs and picked up 2 wickets.

Coming to the chase, the Kiwis did start well in the powerplay with Finn Allen scoring 22 off 19 at the top. Their middle order was put to test today and they surely lacked experience. Tim Seifert did spend some time in the middle but did not get going. He scored 19 off 30 balls. Glenn Phillips looked decent lower down the order but he did not get any support from the other end.

For Pakistan, that was some bowling performance and will happy with the way their spinners bowled in the middle overs. Mohammad Nawaz was excellent in his spell and he ended with the figures of 2/18. It was the part timer Iftikhar Ahmed who changed the game for them as he ended up picking 3 big wickets in his spell of 4 overs. In the end, Skipper Shaheen Afridi completed the formalities and got rid of the tail. So, Pakistan avoid the whitewash and win the final game of the tour. Hang around for the Presentations.
17.2 S Afridi to L Ferguson
W WICKET! Fast yorker at the stumps and that will do it for Pakistan and Afridi. Full and straight angling in at the stumps, Ferguson makes room to carve it away and misses. The ball goes through to clatter the stumps and Shaheen finishes things off in style. Ferguson goes for a golden duck as New Zealand have been bowled out for 92 in 17.2 overs. Finally, a win for Pakistan by 42 runs as they salvage one game back in the series. Kiwis win the series 4-1.
Lockie Ferguson is the new man on the crease.

Glenn Phillips holes out in the deep and Pakistan are just one wicket away from the victory.
17.1 S Afridi to G Phillips
W IN THE AIR AND TAKEN! This is surely the game for Pakistan. Short of a length with pace off the ball, Phillips looks to clear the boundary by going for the big one. He gets the height and not the distance as the catch is taken by the deep midwicket fielder. Good running catch as Phillips departs now. 9 down now are the Kiwis.
