Milestone
Time to wrap our coverage of the WBBL match between Melbourne Stars Women and Hobart Hurricanes Women where the Hurricanes defeated their opponent with 23 balls and 8 wickets remaining.

This is Saptak Sanyal, taking your leave on the behalf of my co-commentator Ayan Chatterjee and our scorer/analyst Zeeshan Naiyer. Don't go anywhere. Switch the tabs to follow our coverage of the second match of today's WBBL double header.
Lizelle Lee (Player of the Match): "No, I sometimes get frustrated when I don't time the ball. Carey was scratchy and I did well. I think massive credit to our bowlers who did well and did the job for us. They bowled good lines and lengths and never allowed them any breathing space. So, massive credits to them.

I try to keep it simple and don't try too hard and just time the ball. We are not thinking about that. We want to play our best game and we haven't done that.

Not even today. So, in the coming days, the aim will be to get their best game going and hope to do that. Happy with my performance and of the team."
13:27 IST and 17:57 Local Time | Brilliance from Lizelle Lee and a firm assistance from Nicola Carey has helped the Hobart Hurricanes Women to register a victory with 23 balls and 8 wickets remaining over the Melbourne Stars.

Earlier in the first innings, The Stars got off to a good start, thanks to Meg Lanning who scored 27 and brought her 3000 WBBL runs up. Maia Bouchier, the other opener scored 23 before getting dismissed. But the middle order failed miserably as Alice Capsey and Sophia Dunkley got out for a cheap score. Tess Flintoff and Sophie Reid contributed well and Annabel Sutherland scored a 28-ball 24 to ensure the Stars reach the 121 run mark before losing all the wickets.

For the Hurricanes, Molly Strano and Nicola Carey took 3 wickets each and Heather Graham took a couple of wickets too. Lizelle Lee stumped three batters out today from behind the stumps.

Coming to chase the 122 run target, Lizelle Lee was brilliant right from the start. Her companion opener Bryony Smith and the number three batter Elyse Villani got out cheaply and Nicola Carey was struggling with timing initially, but she kept on hitting boundaries at regular interval. She remained unbeaten on 77 of 49 balls hitting 9 boundaries and 4 maximums. Nicola Carey took her time and recovered well in the later half of the chase. She remained unbeaten on 38 of 41 balls. Sophie Day and Kim Garth took the two wickets for the Stars.

For her excellent performance with the bat and the gloves, Lizelle Lee was adjudged as the player of the match.
With that, Hobart Hurricanes Women brings up their 4th victory of this season.
16.2 S Moloney to L Lee
WD That's it. Full and wide angling away further outside off, Lee lets it go through to the keeper. Wide is called and that is the end of that. A comprehensive win for the Hurricanes as they win this by 8 wickets with 23 balls left.
Scores are all equal now!!!
16.1 S Moloney to N Carey
