Time to wrap up our coverage from the 32nd match of the WBBL 09 between Sydney Thunder Women and Melbourne Stars Women where the Thunder defeated their opponent by a mere 4 runs.

For now, this is Saptak Sanyal signing off alongside my co-commentator Deepak Prakash. Shoutout to Paras Yadav and Ashok Dayma for succoring us with the scoring duties. Don't go anywhere. Follow our network to get the coverage of ICC Cricket World Cup and the second match of the double header of the WBBL today.
Hannah Darlington (Player of the Match): "Yeah, I think we're all a little bit stressed. I didn't like the fact that I didn't have control in those last few overs. I was hoping to wait for a little bit longer, but that's an insane effort by the girls, I think, all around to fight, actually, and win a game like that in this stage of the tournament.

Yeah, I think there was a bit in it for the bowlers, which I'm happy to see there's been a few times out at North Sydney it hasn't quite gone my way, but that's the first time I've really been able to set up my mark and just try and bowl as fast as possible. Haven't been able to do that in a little bit with the body and different things by trying to bowl a change of pace, but today I don't think I bowled a single change of pace. It was all pace on and, yeah, I loved every minute of it."

13:01 IST and 18:31 Local Time | Sydney Thunder Women clinched a memorable win by mere 4 runs against the Melbourne Stars Women and they are on top as their winning run continues.

Chasing 126, Stars lost their opener Sophia Dunkley only in the second ball. But then, Alice Capsey and the experienced leader Meg Lanning registered a good partnership between them of 45 runs facing 36 balls together. Capsey departed for 27 and Lanning was out scoring 19. Then suddenly, the Stars were 62 for 6 losing quick wickets.

Maia Bouchier and Sasha Moloney put up 25 runs on the board together before Bouchier got out scoring 23 of 28 balls. Moloney scored 12. But then, the number 11 batter Milly Illingworth stepped up and with a maximum and a four, she took the equation down to 9 from the final over. But Chamari Athapaththu bowled well for her side to restrict her opponent side 4 runs short of their run.

Hannah Darlington was the star of the show as she shone with 5 wickets beside her name, giving just 10 runs away. Samantha Bates, Marizanne Kapp, Lauren Smith and Sammy-Jo Johnson took a wicket each.

Earlier coming to bat, Heather Knight's 45 powered her side to reach 125 after the 20 overs. She was well accompanied by Chamari Athapaththu and Tahlia Wilson. For the Stars, Sophie Day took 4 wickets with Annabel Sutherland and Rhys McKenna took 3 wickets each.

Stay tuned for the presentation ceremony.
