That marks the end of our coverage as well. We hope you enjoyed the Devine Carnage at Allan Border Field. For now, it's me Deepak Prakash signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Saptak Sanyal, and scorer/analyst Ashok Dayma. CHEERS!
Sophie Devine (Player of the Match)- "I was shackled a little bit in the start and was struck as I was not getting the run. But I knew if I bat deep, I can contribute well for my team. I played earlier in this ground and I knew that I can score runs here as batting gets easier in the later stages of the game. Beth makes the batting easy for me. I played a lot with her and we have a good understanding and deep respect for each other. You can say that understanding was the key for our 131 run partnership. I am feeling very positive regarding this side. We have a busy fixture ahead and the way the group is performing, I surely expect something good from the side."

4:33 PM IST, 21:03 Local Time | Deepak: A comprehensive victory for Devine-led Perth Scorchers Women as they thump Brisbane Heat Women by 39 runs and move to number three in the points table.

Earlier, after being invited to bat first, Perth Scorchers Women got off to a rollicking start as both their openers, Sophie Devine and Beth Mooney laid a solid foundation for the Scorchers. The opening duo added 131 runs for the first wicket, with Mooney departing for 50 runs off 42 balls. Nat Sciver-Brunt joined Devine, and the duo scored at a brisk pace, especially Devine, who continued her merry ways and notched up her 4th WBBL century on the occasion. Nat contributed 22 runs off 14 balls, while Devine got run out for 106 runs in the last ball of the innings, helping her side post a mammoth 192/3 in 20 overs. Nicola Hancock was the only bowler to celebrate a wicket for the Heat, while the other two wickets fell in the form of a run-out.

In pursuit of a hefty 192 runs, Brisbane Heat Women lost Grace Harris and Amelia Kerr for just 6 and 4 runs, respectively, inside the powerplay. Georgia Redmayne and Mignon du Preez started building the partnership in the middle, and the duo scored at a brisk pace, but their budding partnership was halted by Piepa Cleary, who trapped du Preez for 22 runs and put the Heat Women in a spot of bother. Charli Knott played a short cameo of 18 runs off 12 balls and fell prey to Devine.

Jess Jonassen failed to impress with the bat today and departed for a mere one run off 2 balls. On the other hand, Redmayne paired up with Georgia Voll and notched up her half-century. Voll came out all guns blazing and scored at a rapid pace, but her cameo was halted by Peschel, who trapped Voll for 27 runs off 16 balls and put a brake on her innings. Following the wicket of Voll, Heat Women lost wickets in quick succession and were bundled out for 153 runs in 17.3 overs. Redmayne top-scored the list with 53 runs off 44 balls.

Piepa Cleary shone with the ball for the Scorchers, taking three wickets for 27 runs in 4 overs. Sophie Devine and Alana King chipped in with a couple of wickets, while Amy Louise Edgar, Taneale Peschel, and Chloe Ainsworth contributed one wicket to Heat's downfall.

Scorchers Women have avenged their first game defeat against Heat Women and now they move to number three on the points table.
