Earlier, the Galle Titans won the toss and chose to field first. The Colombo Strikers didn't have a strong start as both their openers, Pathum Nissanka and Babar Azam, were dismissed early by the fast bowler Lahiru Kumara.

Later on, Tabraiz Shamsi, a spinner known for his Chinaman deliveries, played a pivotal role by taking four wickets in his allotted four overs. He dismissed Lahiru Udara, Nipun Dhananjaya, Nuwanidu Fernando, and Mohammad Nawaz. This consistent wicket-taking performance put the Strikers in a difficult position, and they struggled to build a partnership. As a result, they were bowled out for a low total of 74 runs. Even the last three batsmen failed to score any runs.
Tabraiz Shamsi emerged as the top wicket-taker for the Galle Titans with four wickets. Seekkuge Prasanna also contributed with three wickets, while Lahiru Kumara took two wickets and Shakib Al Hasan took one wicket.
In their chase of 75 runs, the Galle Titans got off to a shaky start as they lost 2 wickets within the first 4 overs of their innings. Bhanuka Rajapaksa was dismissed after scoring just 6 runs, while Litton Das could only manage to contribute 1 run to the chase.
However, the partnership between Shakib Al Hasan and Lasith Croospulle proved to be crucial for the Titans. This duo not only stabilized the innings but also launched a counter-attack against the opposition bowlers. They put up an unbeaten partnership of 56 runs for the third wicket, guiding their team towards victory.
Lasith Croospulle played a significant role in the chase, remaining comfortable in the middle and striking the ball well.
