Virat Kohli's 50th ODI century in front of his family and idol, Mohammed Shami's seven-wicket haul, KL Rahul's finish, Rohit Sharma's daunting start, Shreyas Iyer's back-to-back century and Shubman Gill's flamboyant stroke-play. Plenty to take away from this game for the Indians.

Congratulations to India  for making the cut for the main event of the Maniac event. It's still not over as there's one last battle left unfinished. Will it be South Africa or will it be the most successful World Cup team i.e. Australia?  Who will face India in the finals of World Cup 2023? We shall get to know within 24 hours. So, make sure to stay tuned to this network.

But wait!! Also, congratulations to New Zealand for making it to the semi-final and putting up a fight to remember for the ages. This is your fellow cricket nerd- Arijit Kundu and with my cricketmaniac pals- AkshayaKrishna Polya, Akshay Bhide, and Sidharth Gulati we would like to take your leave. Rohit Sharma (India Captain): "Yeah. Obviously. I have played a lot of cricket here. So I know whatever score we get, we can't be relaxed. But we know there will be partnerships but we had to stay calm. These things are bound to happen but I'm glad that we came out on top.

Obviously, when the scoring rate is above nine all the time, you have to take chances. Sometimes it takes off. Sometimes it doesn't. We didn't take those chances. Williamson and Mitchell played brilliantly. The crowd went completely silent but we knew we had to create some magic. We tried everything but nothing worked. But Shami was brilliant.

That's gotta do a lot with the form that these guys are in. The top five batters have made it count. We all know what Iyer has done for us in this tournament. Gill also gave us a start but had to walk off due to cramps. Kohli also is doing what he does best. His trademark innings.

England game we got only 230 on the board and the way our bowlers bowled was brilliant. Today, obviously, semi-final, I wouldn't say there was no pressure. Whenever you play any game, there is pressure but there is extra pressure when you play a semi-final. I just told guys to keep doing what we have done in the last nine games and happy to get into the final."
Kane Williamson (New Zealand Captain): "Yeah, firstly, congratulations to India. They have played outstanding cricket throughout the tournament, and perhaps they played their best game tonight. A top side at the top of their game. Credit to the guys to stay in the fight.

At the halfway stage, with 400 runs on the board, you won't see such a fight. Disappointing to go out, but super proud of the effort that's gone in for the last seven weeks. The guys have been playing well in this competition.

Yeah... I mean, look, the efforts were there. But India have a world-class batting unit, and they have been brilliant. It was tough to bowl at those batters, who didn't give us a sniff, really. But still, we have done well. As I said, credit to India for the way they played, and it was always tough. You come in and get 400, it's a tick in the box. They deserve to be where they are, played outstandingly well. It wasn't to be today, but nice to be out there to give ourselves a chance.

It was a fantastic crowd, unbelievable atmosphere, and slightly one-sided in support. Great to be in a tournament hosted by India. The support was there.

Some incredible contributions for us throughout. Overall, we have plenty of guys raising their hands up. As a team, there was a real commitment to the cricket we wanted to play. Special mentions to Rachin and Daryl Mitchell for the way they adapted to these conditions, and on varied surfaces, they performed well. Bowlers chipped in, a lot of fight, proud of that. Even if it didn't go our way, ultimately, moving forward as a team, we've taken some really good steps in the right direction.

Thank You, cheers!"
