That's it then from the grand final and from the opening season of MLC 2023. We hope you enjoyed the tournament and our coverage. It's MI New York who come out on top as the most decorated franchise adds another feather in the cap by winning this MLC 2023. It's time to take your leave with the promise that there is a lot of cricketing action happening across the globe across formats in our network.

This is Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Hitesh Peddurwar alongside scorer/analyst Dushyant Madhukar Kumar. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodnight and CHEERS!
Nicholas Pooran goes across and will collect the trophy from the legend himself Sunil Gavaskar. And now the trophy is held aloft as the celebrations begin at the MI New York camp. They deserve this win and can now celebrate well into the night. Congratulations to MI New York.
Nicholas Pooran (MI New York Captain): "We spoke about the opportunity and thought that we had an opportunity to create history. To reach to the finals we had to do hard work. Losing out the captain and a few players due to injuries. The players stuck together and fought back against the wall. The teamwork got us over the line. Everyone contributed to it and today was just an icing on the cake.

Yeah, it was definitely the game on. We knew it was a good batting wicket, I thought we gave 20 runs more but we were preparing for this day from a week ago. We had 4 games in 6 days. We defended 140, we chased 160, and we just prepared ourselves for the pressure situations.

Thanks to Steven for getting out. In the dressing room they told me, I m no more captain once I go in, I need to play like an original Nicky P. I have been working on my skills and trying to contribute. I m working on this for the last 6 years to be till the end of the innings.

I just wan to thank all the fans who came to support us, the MLC has been successful."
The champions MI New York will get their winning medals from Mrs. Nita Ambani.
Most Valuable Player of the Tournament goes to Nicholas Pooran.
Nicholas Pooran gets the Leading run scorer Award.
Trent Boult gets the Leading Wicket-Taker of the tournament award.
Camron Gannon: "It's amazing to get this acknowledgment. Tonight was MI's day, the way Nicky P played, I haven't seen anyone play that way. Good to win this award but would have loved to win the tournament. It's been a wonderful tournament, having overseas players have been exceptional, and playing against the best in the world. I am looking forward to coming back and playing, I would like to play the world cup. I am 34 now, I am not looking too much into the future now.
Domestic Player of the Tournament: Cameron Gannon
Gifts are being distributed to the Match Officials.
Time for Post Tournament Presentation Ceremony!!!
Wayne Parnell (Seattle Orcas Captain): "I think as a professional, losing like this and to see someone play like that, hats off to that. Disappointed to have lost, but credit to Pooran and his team. It was a factor the toss. I think the first 10-12 overs was slow but it got better. Pooran was just amazing today. He did not mishit a ball today. So, great stuff from him. Great tournament for us and great from the tournament's organising committee. We have enjoyed our time here and this will get better as we go along is what I feel."
Player of the Match: Nicholas Pooran
Power Hitter Award: Nicholas Pooran(103 m Six)

Time for the post match presentation ceremony!!!
Robin Peterson (MI New York Head Coach): "It was tough and losing players and Kieron was tough. But the character that they showed was awesome. The players showed great character and composure out there and they were calm out there to get the job done. So, congratulations to the team and great thanks to the crowd for supporting us."
Kieron Pollard (MI New York) : "No rivalry with Bravo as such and congratulations to the guys who did the job in the outfield. Special to see Pooran perform well. He is a talent and needs to be recognised by the talent that he has. Congratulations to the franchise, support staff and happy for the win. I think the belief matters for us. 9 trophies. I have seen that. Even for the women's I was there. We will strive to get better in the coming games. Yes, thanks to the crowd for supporting us always and we have been overwhelmed with the support."
Rashid Khan (MI New York): "I just flew here and had 3 hours to get ready before the game. It's a very good feeling, to be part of this family. In South Africa, the Emirates, and now here. The best thing is we started with the trophy now, we will try to keep it. It's special for me as it is my first trophy with the MI family."
