That brings us to the end of the sixth match of the MLC 2023. MI New York emerged victorious with an impressive 105-run margin, securing a commanding win over their opponents.

Do join us for all the upcoming games from all around the globe. For now, it's me Saipavan Janaki signing off along with my esteemed co-commentator Ayan Chatterjee and scorer/analyst Dushyant Madhukar Kumar. Until then stay safe and enjoy!

Kieron Pollard (MI New York Captain): "Yes, I am happy with the end result, but not with the batting performance. We lost wickets in 10-11 overs and that is not acceptable. We need to work out where we went wrong. David then did well for us. It's all about awareness and we need to bat better. The bowlers did a terrific job and got us the win. We need to improve our batting. Quick turnaround as we come back tomorrow evening. Told Tim this is done and dusted and now focus on the game ahead tomorrow. The games come thick and fast for us and we look forward to the game tomorrow."
Sunil Narine (Los Angeles Knight Riders Captain):" I think we are good at the first half of the game and that's it, nothing good for us in the second innings. Cricket is coming fast and we have to move on, we just need one good game. We try to come better and stronger"
Tim David (Player of the Match): "Yes, I definitely enjoyed the second innings. Great effort by the boys and boost our NRR. It's about finishing the innings off and then had to bat according to the situation. Pleasing to contribute to the team. Yes, we felt we left a few runs out there and bowled brilliantly. Outstanding bowling performance and we got the win in the end and a massive win at that."

Nosthush Kenjige (MI New York): "It really feels special to play in Dallas. Playing my first game and defending such a score gives me great pleasure. Tim David is exceptional and changed the momentum of the game and gave us great belief. It feels unreal and they are legends and captain Pollard makes my job easier. Just need to focus on my strengths. Just stuck to my plans and hit the right areas and got the job done in the end. We kept it steady. Thank you and always a pleasure to talk to you Nikhil."
09.40 AM IST, 11.10 PM Local Time | That's it.....In a commanding display, MI New York showcased their dominance across all three departments, resulting in a resounding victory over the Los Angeles Knight Riders by a significant margin of 105 runs.

Earlier in the game, MI New York won the toss and elected to bat first.  MI New York encountered frequent wicket losses throughout their innings. Dewald Brevis managed to reach double figures, while Nicholas Pooran held the innings together with his 38 off 37 balls. However, it was Tim David's explosive unbeaten knock of 48 runs from just 21 deliveries that propelled MI New York from a precarious position to a final total of 155/8 in 20 overs. Trent Boult remained not out on 7 runs, while the Los Angeles Knight Riders conceded a notable 23 extras during the match.

Overall, the Knight Riders displayed a commendable bowling performance but faltered towards the end. Adam Zampa stood out as the standout bowler, claiming figures of 2/25 in his 4 overs. Ali Khan and Corne Dry both took two wickets each. Although Lockie Ferguson managed to secure a wicket, he proved to be expensive. Sunil Narine, on the other hand, remained wicketless but delivered an economical spell.

Los Angeles Knight Riders endured a disastrous batting performance while chasing a target of 156 runs. They lost three crucial wickets within the first three overs, with only two runs on the scoreboard. Unmukt Chand and Jaskaran Malhotra provided some resistance, stitching together a 23-run partnership for the fourth wicket. However, Knight Riders continued to lose wickets at regular intervals and ultimately collapsed for a mere 50 runs in 13.5 overs. Unmukt Chand was the top scorer for the team, reaching the only double-digit mark.

MI New York's bowlers delivered an exceptional performance, with Nosthush Kenjige and Ehsan Adil being the standout performers, each claiming two wickets while conceding just 7 runs in their three overs. Kieron Pollard, Kagiso Rabada, and Trent Boult also contributed with a couple of wickets each.

The post-match presentation awaits as the teams reflect on the match.

13.5 T Boult to L Ferguson
W WICKET! That's in the air and taken by Pollard. That's the end of the game here. Short of a length into the pitch, Ferguson goes for the big one and gets the height and not the distance. Pollard comes underneath it to take the catch. Boult gets two in the over as Knight Riders misery is over at 50 all out in 13.5 overs.

13.4 T Boult to A Khan
W WICKET!!! BOWLED!!! Good length delivery angling into the middle stump line, Khan waits back in the crease and goes across the line but misses it. The ball is through the bat and pad and disturned the stumps. Knight Riders lost their 9th wicket.
13.3 T Boult to A Khan
2 Fuller length delivery on the outside the off stump line, Khan lifts that over the mid-off fielder, who runs backward, put a dive but failed to grab that one. Takes a couple.
13.2 T Boult to A Khan
0 Good length delivery angling into the middle stump line, Khan waits back and defends back to the bowler.
13.1 T Boult to A Zampa
