So that concludes our coverage from the 3rd match of WCPL 2023 between Guyana Amazon Warriors Women and Barbados Royals Women where Barbados Royals Women registered another victory to ensure they stay at the top of the points table.

For now, it is Saptak Sanyal, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Deepak Prakash and our scorer/analyst Ashok Dayma. Good night, stay safe.
Hayley Kristen Matthews(Barbados Royals Women Captain)- "Yes I am happy with the performance. We really wanted to win this one. It is a great feeling. We have so many different bowling options including the spinners and that really helps. We have seen how the WCPL has been in the last two years. Players have really developed and I can see them more competitive in the last three games. Hopefully the tournament will continue to be more competitive in the future."
Erin Burns (Player of the Match): "It's always good to be out here in front of a crowd and I think there's a few more people each day, which always kind of gets a little bit momentum, obviously, for the home team as well. But, yeah, they're good pitches and I think if we can take our run chase as deep as we can, I think that's been our kind of mantra for all three games and we've been managed to be able to pull it off at the end. We knew that we wanted to try and target that offside and we managed to do that and take it right to that last final over.

It's awesome, I think I probably sweated my body weight out there today, but, yeah, it's been unreal. Obviously, the vibe here has been awesome. It's my second time over here, but first time playing in the domestic setup, and it's just been amazing."
04:14 IST and 18:43 Local Time | Barbados Royals clinched another remarkable victory, their third consecutive victory in this tournament. Special mentions to Erin Burns, exceled in every department where she participated.

After batting first, Guyana Amazon Warriors Women started off really well as Suzie Bates and Sophie Devine were in good touch. Devine scored 42 while Bates scored 30. But after that, their run rate seemed to be little disturbed before Natasha McLean took the charge. She scored 26 ball 38 to bolster the run rate and was well accompanied by Shemaine Campbelle who scored an unbeaten 19 to help her team post 146 on the board.

Chasing 147, Barbados Royals Women lost two quick wickets but Hayley Matthews gave a recovery fight and scored 22 runs. Laura Harris came to the crease and swung hard to score 4 ball 18 run to give the run rate a boost. Then it was all down to Erin Burns. She took her time before going hard at the bowlers and took the charge when the required run rate climbed up to 10 in the last three overs. Scored a few boundaries to complete the fifty and with that her team was well in a comfortable position. In the end, Barbados Royals Women won the match with four balls and three wickets to spare.

Burns brilliance completely overshadowed the bowling effort of Guyana Amazon Warriors bowlers. For them, young Shreyanka Patil took 4 wickets by just giving 34 runs and Shakera Selman took 2 wickets.

For her incredible performance with both bat and ball, Erin Burns was awarded the player of the match. She scored an unbeaten 53 after taking 2 wickets in the first innings.
