21:54 IST| North West Warriors continue their dominance as they remain unbeaten against Munster Reds.... Spiffing innings of 54* runs by Shane Getkate has helped them chase down 150 runs in 39.1 overs.

Earlier in the day, North West Warriors 🪖 won the toss and invited Munster Reds ♦️ to bat first. Munster Reds got off to a steady start as their openers glued a solid partnership of 63 runs for the first wicket. Reds lost a couple of quick wickets after the powerplay.

Unwanted guest rain 🌧️ arrived after the 25th over and it turned out to be a blessing in disguise for Warriors. After the break, wickets started tumbling down for the Reds and they were bundled out for 149 runs in 40.2 overs. Murray Commins was the top scorer for the Reds, scoring 35 runs in 51 balls.

Harry Zimmermann was the pick of the bowlers for the Warriors as he scalped 4 wickets and gave away just 36 runs in his 10-over spell. Michael Erlank and R Macbeth scalped 3 and 2 wickets respectively.

While chasing a paltry total of 150 runs, the Warriors got off to a disastrous start. They lost 2 wickets within 4 overs. The Warriors were put under pressure straight away. Aniruddha Chore and Scott MacBeth held the fort for 10 overs and glued a partnership of 32 runs for the 3rd wicket. Scott Macbeth fell prey to Tyrone Kane in the 14th over.

Shane Getkate joined Chore in the middle and steered the sinking ship 🚢  of the Warriors. Shane Getkate took his time to settle in the middle as he got off the mark after 17 deliveries.

Chore and Getkate made their intentions clear after the drinks break and started scoring at a brisk rate. This duo glued a partnership of 63 runs for the 4th wicket. Aniruddha Chore departed after scoring 33 runs off 74 balls. Getkate held the fort till the end and took his team over the line. He played a fantastic innings of 56* runs in 69 balls. Cameron Melly played a short cameo of 27* runs in the end.

Michael Granger, Liam Mccarthy, Ben White, and T Kane scalped a wicket apiece for Munster Reds...

Defending champions have lost their first game of this season, there is a lot to work on for them, as their middle order failed miserably today. North West Warriors dominated Munster Reds in all three departments, but their openers departed early today.
