That's it from another intriguing and exciting T20 game in the Indian Premier League. Ninaad Dixit here signing off on behalf of my co-commentators Ayan Chatterjee, Hitesh Peddurwar and scorer Paras Yadav. Stay tuned for more cricketing action from around the world.
Andre Russell (Player of the Match): "Yes, definitely. We thought about it. The ball was gripping a bit. They missed their lengths. Just hung in there to get 30 off the last 2 overs and happy that we got over the line. Not too sure. I flicked one for the maximum. Those two sixes gave us the momentum and there was chaos in the end with me being run out.

Rinku our finisher was there and I have confidence in him. I wanted him to be on strike and happy that he took over the line. Oh, man, I get goosebumps that this man is doing. I have back up at the back end. He has so much to give, honest and funniest guy in the team. I am very close to him and we are very good friends. Definitely feeling good."
Andre Russell is the player of the match.
Nitish Rana (Kolkata Knight Riders Captain): "When I was batting my plan was to hold one end and keep on batting. Venkatesh had some problem with his ankle so we were discussing if one of us can get 3 big overs here then we can take the game away. We got that one big over. We were waiting since 10 matches for that one big Russell innings. I knew he was one big knock away. I am telling him the same since few matches.

As a skipper I just tell him that you are a big player, you have achieved so much and are just an innings away.

Now I can say we have home advantage. The way the spinners bowled was good but I was angry when some bad balls were bowled in the final 2 overs. We should have contained them for around 160-165 but we gave some extra 15 runs.

I told Rinku that what you have done is unachievable from many great players and if you have done that then you can do anything. The crowd was cheering his name and I was getting goosebumps. This is the love he has earned which Russell earned in the past. The crowd was cheering for both of them."

23:37 IST| Time for the post match presentation ceremony...
Rinku Singh (Kolkata Knight Riders): "Yes you can say so. People will get to know me if I finish like that. I played to the merit of the ball and hit it for a boundary. No not like that. We were thinking of a tie and then had the self belief to win the game. I keep it simple. Celebrations are normal for me as we keep it simple. Thank You sir. Your words mean a lot. Amazing to get the win in the end."
Shikhar Dhawan(Punjab Kings Skipper): " Yeah, of course not feeling that great as we lost the game. I feel that it was not an easy track to bat on and we put on a good total. yeah, it was a great over by Arshdeep he made a good comeback after the last game. He took the game till the last over. We don't have a good off-spinner, so it was difficult to bowl to the left-handers in the middle overs, as we have one leg spinner, and from another end, we have a left-arm spinner.  that's the reason we are leaking a few runs in the middle overs to the left-handers."
11:23 PM IST: Another Rinku Singh masterclass in the final over keeps KKR in the hunt of the playoffs. 5 teams now have 10 points with KKR jumping to the 5th spot after this win. A mighty 5 wicket win against the Punjab Kings who won the toss and elected to bat first and put a strong total of 179/7 on the back of a half century from Shikhar Dhawan and late order strikes from Shahrukh Khan and Harpreet Brar.

The chase began on a bright note for KKR as openers Rahmanullah Gurbaz (15) and impact player Jason Roy (38) started off with a flurry of boundaries adding 38 runs in 4.4 overs when Punjab Kings' impact player Nathan Ellis trapped Gurbaz in front in his very first over.

Another bowler picked up an early wicket in his spell with Harpreet Brar bowling beautifully sent the in-form Jason Roy back in the 8th over. Nitish Rana promoted himself to bat at 3 and added 51 runs for the 3rd wicket with Venkatesh Iyer (11).

Iyer was sent packing by Rahul Chahar who put up his best performance of the season with 2/23. Rana continued the assault from the other end and completed his 17th IPL half century but departed right afterwards thanks to Chahar's smart bowling.

Andre Russell (42 off 23) and Rinku Singh (21* off 10) then added 54 runs in no time to keep KKR in the hunt. Russell hammered three sixes in his assault and was dismissed in the final over bowled by Arshdeep when 6 runs were needed in 6 balls.

Arshdeep was composed and bowled tidy yorkers and bouncers to bring it down to 2 from 2 balls when Russell in an attempt to steal a bye was run out at the bowling end. With 2 runs needed on the last ball, Rinku Singh kept his calm and smashed a four down the leg side to take KKR home.

Besides Rahul Chahar, Harpreet Brar bowled a good solitary over getting rid of Jason Roy. Nathan Ellis picked the early wicket of Gurbaz. Rishi Dhawan (0/15) opening the bowling was also tidy in the first over but was taken for some runs in his second.

The win will give some confidence to the Knight Riders and also has intensified the quest of many other teams to get into the playoffs.

4 FOUR!!! Rinku Singh finishes off with a boundary on the last ball! What a finisher for KKR!! Full toss angled back in down the leg side. Rinku is backing away and swipes this in the fine leg region helping the ball on its way! The ball is racing away to the fence wide of the fielder present at long leg! KKR win a thriller by 5 wickets!
KKR need 2 runs in 1 ball. Can Arshdeep defend it or will it be the first super over of the season or will Rinku Singh finish it off in style?
Shardul Thakur comes in to bat at number.7.
