That brings an end to our coverage for this game. Do join us for more cricketing action all around the globe. For now, this is Akshay Bhide, signing off, on behalf of scorer Paras Yadav. Tata. Bye Bye.
Danielle Wyatt (Hero of the Match): "I didn’t think the pitch was going to be slow. But credit to our bowlers for the way they bowled and Anya as well to bowl that last set.

(On opening combination) We do not speak much in the middle. She (Mandhana) is calm in the middle and keeps things simple. We spoke at the halfway mark that 130 would be a good score here.

The atmosphere was amazing in the end. The crowd got behind us. We have another game here against the Invincibles on Saturday or Sunday and expect the same crowd for that game.

We said before the game today that fielding is going to play a key role and it showed today. Mair Bouchier is exceptional in the tournament."

10:09 PM IST, 5:39 PM Local Time: That's it. The Southern Brave Women continue their dominance in this year's Women's Hundred Competition as they beat the Birmingham Phoenix Women by three runs and are on the brink of qualifying for the finals. With this win, the Brave Women got to the top of the table whereas the Phoenix Women remain winless and continue to languish at the bottom of the table.

Chasing 133, the Phoenix Women lost their in-form batter Sophie Devine cheaply in the very first set. Skipper Evelyn Jones was joined by Sterre Kalis and both led the recovery work. Both put 40 between them before Kalis departed on 20. Jones also fell on 21 while trying to up the ante. Amy Jones along with Erin Burns steadied the ship for the Phoenix Women.

Jones and Burns played some beautiful strokes and kept the required run rate under control. Both stitched a 43-run stand between them before Burns was run out on 34. Burns hit a couple of lusty blows before departing on a 21-ball 29. The lower-order batters failed to contribute as the Southern Brave Women held their nerves to win the game by three runs.

Georgia Adams as always was brilliant with the ball in hand. She picked up two wickets, giving away 25 runs in her four sets. Anya Shrubsole and Lauren Bell also chipped in with a couple of scalps each as the former held her nerves in the last set to defend 12 runs successfully to help her side go to the top of the points table.

Earlier in the day, the Southern Brave Women got off to a wonderful start after electing to bat first. Danielle Wyatt and Smriti Mandhana played some fantastic shots and kept the Birmingham Phoenix at bay. Both put 84 between them for the first wicket before Wyatt fell on 43. Mandhana looked solid at the crease and kept ticking the scoreboard.

Mandhana hit six boundaries before getting trapped in front of the stumps on 39. Maia Bouchier scored a run-a-ball 19 while batting at three. Maitlan Brown remained unbeaten on seven off three balls as it helped the Brave Women post 132 on the board. Emily Arlott picked up two wickets for the Phoenix Women as they picked up four in total. They came very close to creating an upset but fell agonizingly short by three runs.
