So, Sunrisers Eastern Cape claim the silverware in the inaugural edition of SA20. What a season they've had. They have bounced back, beaten the beaters of the league stages and in the end claimed the title at the box office event.

So that is it from the coverage. This is Arijit Kundu signing off alongside scorer/analyst Paras Yadav. Stay tuned to the network.
Aiden Markram (Sunrisers Eastern Cape): "We had to hang in there, fight a bit and the characters is what comes out. You can't teach enough. He[ Roelof van der Merwe] has yes. Losing two games earlier we needed a character to step in and Roelof came. He is, yes. He [Adam Rossington] is the perfect player to give us a good start. He has done a lot of good fuss in the tournament as well. Played proper match winnings knocks.

I do enjoy, yes. Prior to the tournament, I had done it. Desperate to win, and need to give body on the line, it becomes quite easy We gave a nice competition. Proud of each and every person who are present there and behind the scenes. Yeah, they have been incredible. They have been great. This was for them, for all, not just South Africa for India as well."
A cheque of 35 Million Rand goes to Aiden Markram and the Sunrisers Eastern Cape.
Wayne Parnell (Pretoria Capitals Skipper): "First SA20 season, and it's a most special day of South Africa's domestic cricket. Congrats to the Eastern Cape side, and disappointed on being number two, but lots of memories from the season. Credit to the opposition, as they played better cricket than us and eventually ended up on the other side. Looking at the pitch, we were 20-25 runs short, and that cost us the game. You have to brace yourself in this kind of situation, and our team performed well throughout the season. Thanks to the support staff and all the families for their support throughout the season."
8:50 PM IST | The players get their momento now...
Aiden Markram (Player of the Season): "Yeah, it was a big sort of believe for me. It came solid to me with the bunch of the guys. Not at all. You must try to do your job here and there. He can squeeze something extra as a team but it's been great. Yeah, hundred percent. You can't thank him enough and can't describe him enough. It's been great as a team"
Player of the Season: Aiden Markram
Bowler of the Season: Roelof van der Merwe
Jos Buttler wins the batter of the season award...
Eathan Bosch (Rising Star of the Tournament): "It's great to be here. Playing with a lot of big players in the world. We were quite confident as we had the momentum with us. Yeah, it's definitely been quite an experience. I mean, big thank you to the crowd and supporting us throughout the tournament."
Roelof van der Merwe (Player of the Match): "Cheers Mark, unbelievable feeling to be the champion. The boys are extremely happy. Ah, I think it is my genome to try and give the best. Definitely, I think. I don't think many people get a chance to play in the tournament. Yeah, I think we're all just buzzing around, having a deep breath, and sinking in. The family and friends coming out to support, it is unbelievable."
Player of the Match: Roelof van der Merwe
8:36 PM IST | Time for the presentation ceremony...
Tristan Stubbs: "Yeah, it's been awesome. We saved our best for the last. We tried to make a game there. Yeah, saved the best for the last. Yeah, it was a bit stoppy. But thankfully, Marco was there to get us over."
Marco Jansen: "It feels good to take your team over the line and win the title."

8:15 PM IST | And with that, the Sunrisers Eastern Cape become the first team to clinch the title in the SA20 competition🏆. What a season they’ve had. They came into the final with some momentum and finished it on a high.

Despite chasing a low total, the Aiden Markram-led side made heavy weather of it. Temba Bavuma failed to get going once again and the Capitals got the early breakthrough. But it was the Adam Rossington storm that was on display in the Bull’s Ring.

The wicketkeeper batter was tremendous in his display and took apart the bowlers of the Capitals. Hermann anchored the innings from one end after the first wicket and the two batters glued a partnership of 67 runs. This was the indispensable partnership that breathed life into the chase. Wayne Parnell introduced Adil Rashid late today and it was the leggie that put the brakes. He dismantled Hermann and it opened the way for a quick collapse.

Aiden Markram played some flamboyant shots and paved the way to take it deep. Unfortunately, he fell out of partners and in the end got out. But the required rate wasn’t steep and Marco Jansen finished things off in a charismatic fashion.

Earlier, none of the Capital's batters could really get going. Phil Salt left the house early today. Kusal Mendis looked in good form, scoring 21 runs in a quick start. They were 56-2 after the powerplay and only if they knew that a collapse would follow. The spinners were the ones who turned the tables for the Cape. Van der Merwe returned with four wickets, while Markram had one.

In the end, a flurry of wickets followed and the Capitals could score just 135 runs.

16.2 J Neesham to M Jansen
6 SIXX!!! What a way to end the match, and with this, Sunrisers Eastern Cape are the winners of the inaugural SA20 league 🏆 Marco Jansen finishes things off in style as he sends that one into the stands comfortably. Neesham goes fuller outside the off. Marco leans and lofts that one over the extra cover region for a maximum...A fitting end to the exceptional league of South Africa Cricket.
16.1 J Neesham to M Jansen
4 FOUR!!! That's a glorious shot from Marco Jansen...And that should be it for the Sunrisers. Neesham goes fuller outside the off. Marco leans and drives that one past the cover for a four...
