That’s a wrap from our side as well. I hope you enjoyed the live coverage of this enthralling contest. Zimbabwe leads the series by 1-0 and they will look to continue a similar approach in the next ODI to seal the series. On the other hand, Ireland will look to come back stronger in the next match.

We appreciate your participation from all across the world. On behalf of my co-commentator Tugral Azmi and Scorer/Analyst Ghanendra Thakur, I, Deepak Prakash, am signing off. Please join us for the other fixtures across the world. Until then, Ta-Ta, Bye-Bye.✌✌
Ryan Burl (Player of the match): "It's a good thriller, so it's certainly one of those games you want to finish. It was unfortunate for the two players who scored a century. We went for the DLS score because there was no communication from the dugout and we were aware of the rain on the ground. Bravo to Madande as well, who ultimately helped us cross the finish line."
Craig Ervine(Zimbabwe Captain): "Every game we play against the Irish is usually pretty close. Although I first believed the track was a touch sticky, I thought Andy Balbirnie and Harry Tector played excellent batting, and the wicket eventually improved. We made a few errors in the field and had a few half-chances, but Balbirnie and Tector deserve praise for their batting performance."
Paul Stirling(Ireland): "Hope everyone got their money's worth in the crowd. Teams always like to put you to bat first after winning the toss, even though Harare is a challenging place to bat first. Credit to Zimbabwe batters the way they batted was not easy,"
9:04 PM IST | Deepak: Two minutes of silence for those who missed this enthralling contest. Oh dear, what an enthralling game of cricket👀 this has been for cricket enthusiasts. Zimbabwe thumped💥 Ireland by 3 wickets(DLS method).

The first ODI of the three-match series between Zimbabwe and Ireland was an enthralling encounter that kept the fans on the edge of their seats until the very last moment. Ireland, after being invited to bat first, put up a commanding total of 288 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 50 overs. The Irish innings was anchored by a scintillating century from Harry Tector, who remained unbeaten on 101 runs off 109 balls. His innings was a masterclass in power-hitting and elegant strokeplay, as he smashed the Zimbabwean bowlers to all parts of the ground. He received able support from Andrew Balbirnie, who retired hurt after scoring 121 runs off 137 balls. The pair forged a partnership of more than 130 runs and helped Ireland post a challenging total on the scoreboard.

The Zimbabwean innings got off to a rocky start as they lost their opener Wesley Madhevere in the 5th over. He managed to score just 2 runs off 14 balls. Skipper Craig Ervine joined Innocent Kaia at number three, and the pair started rotating the strike sensibly and posted 41 runs in the first 10 overs. However, their progress was halted in the 13th over when Innocent Kaia departed for 19 runs off 39 balls after forging a partnership of 40 runs for the second wicket. Craig Ervine was batting sensibly and rotating the strike but was trapped by Harry Tector in the 20th over, he departed for 38 runs off 43 balls. Debutant Gary Ballance played a couple of good shots but departed after scoring 23 runs off 28 balls.

Sikandar Raza and Ryan Burl then took charge of scoring briskly in the middle. They were batting at a brisk pace and took Zimbabwe to 175/4 in the 34th over. The match was reaching an exciting climax, and the fans were on the edge of their seats, but unfortunately, it started raining heavily in Harare. Due to rain, the match was reduced to 37 overs, and the revised target for Zimbabwe was 214 runs in 37 overs. Sikandar Raza and Ryan Burl resumed the play after the rain, but Raza departed on the second ball after the resumption and scored 43 runs. Ryan Burl completed his fifty and departed for 59 runs. Zimbabwe needed 23 runs off 8 balls, and the equation was reduced to 4 runs off 1 ball, and guess what? Clive Madande finished the game with a cracking boundary. Zimbabwe won by 3 wickets (DLS method).🙌

Mark Adair and Graham Hume shared a couple of wickets each for Ireland, and Joshua Little and Harry Tector contributed one wicket each. The match was a nail-biter till the last ball and the Zimbabwean team deserves credit for their resilience and determination in the face of a challenging target.

Stay tuned for the presentations....

Run-out check!! Well, well, well Burl is inches behind the crease and I think this is the match for Ireland.
36.2 G Hume to R Burl
1W WICKET! RUN-OUT! IS THAT OUT? Fuller delivery on the off stump line. Burl pushes it to the sweeper cover region and sets off for a run. Easy single and then turns for the deadly second. Burl finds himself short of the striker's end. The third umpire has signaled it Out. Ryan Burl has taken a long walk back to the pavilion.
36.1 G Hume to C Madande
1 Starts with a yorker on the woods. Madande gets an inside edge onto the pads to the leg side and sneaks a run.
