So, that's it from this game and the doubleheader on this Super Sunday. Join us back tomorrow for more IL T20 action and for other actions in our network across formats. For now, this is Ayan Chatterjee signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Tugral Azmi alongside scorer/analyst Chandan Kumar Singh. Stay safe, happy, and cool. Goodnight and CHEERS!
Rovman Powell (Dubai Capitals Captain and Player of the Match): "Yes, I enjoyed it. The wicket was a beauty and took advantage of it. He is pure class and batting with him is a pleasure. Just went with the flow and picked out the right shots. Finally, a win after losing three in a row. The boys came up against a tough opponent and came up with trumps. Fabian Allen is a great fielder and some problems with the lighting here. Yes, important it was to get two points and I am happy that we are back on track in this tournament."
Kieron Pollard (MI Emirates Captain): "The fighting was shown. It is amazing of the batters to have the mindset necessary to approach 220. I have a few complaints about the men. below average with the ball. The ball continued to move for 7-8 overs. We could have made better use of it. These things do occur. I can't really criticize them because they have won two straight games. We spoke about the NRR scenario and how to close it as much as we could."
The biggest hit of the match award goes to Najibullah Zadran
Buzzmaker of the Match award goes to Rovman Powell
Smart Delivery of the Day Award goes to Fred Klaassen.
Time for the post-match presentation
So, the Dubai Capitals win the game by 16 runs as over 400 runs were scored today. It was a batting day in Abu Dhabi as 28 sixes were scored on the day. Both teams showed their prowess, but it's the Dubai Capitals who gets a crucial win to get back into the thick of things and get two crucial points.

Chasing a mammoth 223 for victory, the MI Emirates just did not get off the blocks at all and fell way behind. The openers struggled and Andre Fletcher remained unbeaten on a struggling inning of 35* off 34 runs. But it was the Kieron Pollard show as he showed his prowess with the bat. He played some delightful shots in his 86 off 38 balls. Najibullah Zadran blazed away for his 30 off 9 balls. Samit Patel had fun out there with his 18* off 6 balls. But it was a bridge too far as they fell 16 runs short of the victory target. They finish with 206/5 in 20 overs.

Hazrat Luqman was the pick of the bowlers with his figures of 2/24 in 4 overs. A wicket to Fred Klaassen, Chamika Karunaratne, and skipper Rovman Powell. Most of the bowlers went for runs especially Chamika as he was taken to the cleaners.

Batting first, the Dubai Capitals got off to a flier courtesy of Joe Root as his impressive run continued tonight. The opening duo of Robin Uthappa and Joe Root put up 78 for the first wicket inside 9 overs. Uthappa scored 26 off 23 balls. Joe Root was magnificent for his 82 off 54 balls. He shared an amazing 119-run stand for the second wicket with skipper Rovman Powell. He went for 82. But it was the Rovman Powell show tonight as he scored a breathtaking 97 off 41 balls. He was the last man to be dismissed as the Capitals finished with 222/3 with 16 extras given by the fielding side.

A wicket apiece for Fazalhaq Farooqi, Zahoor Khan, and skipper Kieron Pollard. Trent Boult kept things tight and gave away only 26 runs in his 4 overs. The rest of the bowlers were taken to the cleaners by the Root-Powell duo.

So, a win for Dubai Capitals by 16 runs to climb upward in the points table. They are up to 4th in the points table. Stick around for the post-match presentation that comes your way soon.
