20:34 IST: The Paarl Royals have held their nerves to win by 10 runs. Evan Jones holds his nerve in the final over as the hosts get a much-needed win to climb up the points table. This is their second win and both have come at home. Durban Super Giants tried hard but fell short of the total.

Chasing 170 for the win on a difficult pitch, the Super Giants got off to a steady start courtesy of their openers Kyle Mayers and Wiaan Mulder. They put on 22 runs for the opening wicket. Kyle Mayers scored 12 while Wiaan Mulder scored 29. Quinton de Kock and Dwaine Pretorius did not trouble the score. It was the lone hand from Heinrich Klaasen which held this inning together. Klaasen stayed unbeaten on 56* off 39 balls. But he got little support from the other end. Jason Holder got 17. Christiaan Jonker scored 12 while Keshav Maharaj chipped in with a quick 17 off 10 balls. But it was not enough as the Super Giants ended with 159/8 in 20 overs falling 10 runs short. 10 extras were given by the fielding side.

Bjorn Fortuin was the pick of the bowlers inside the powerplay. He returned with excellent figures of 3/14 in 4 overs. Evan Jones bowled well through the middle and at the death picked up 4 wickets for 30 runs in 4 overs. The other wicket went to Tabraiz Shamsi. They did well and held their nerves to get this win.

Earlier in the game, Paarl Royals lost the struggling Jason Roy for 3 runs after being asked to bat first. Jos Buttler looked good while he was there for his 35 off 27 balls. It was Wihan Lubbe who held the innings together as he top-scored with 57 off 36 balls. Dane Vilas scored 12 while skipper David Miller played a cameo of 28 off 19 balls towards the end. Ferisco Adams scored a quickfire 10* off 4 balls as the Royals ended with 169/6 in 20 overs. As many as 16 extras were given by the fielding side today.

Dwaine Pretorius picked up a couple of wickets. A wicket apiece for Reece Topley, Hardus Viljoen, Keshav Maharaj, and Subrayen. The spinners kept it relatively tight out there. The other bowlers tried hard and they did reasonably well to keep the score down.

So, a win by 10 runs for the Paarl Royals over the Durban Super Giants at Boland Park. They get the points and climb upwards in the table. Stick around for the post-match presentation ceremony coming your way.
