Well that's it for today folks! This is Anirudh Modi, signing off on behalf of my co-commentator Ninaad Dixit and our scorer/analyst Dushyant Kumar! It was our pleasure to bring you this game LIVE! See you on the next one!
AND WITH THAT SYDNEY SIXERS WOMEN COMPLETE A FANTASTIC VICTORY! They defeat the Melbourne Renegades Women by 37 runs in a contest that was played through rains!

Melbourne Renegades Women won the toss and elected to field first, the decision backfired in a major way as Alyssa Healy and Suzie Bates showed off their batting prowess to stitch together 151 run opening stand and take the game away from their opponents. Both batters went onto score half-centuries, with Suzie Bates smashing 66 runs off 47 balls and Alyssa Healy scoring 78 runs off 54 balls!

Late innings cameos from Gardner and Burns ensured the Sydney Sixers put up a total of 188/3 from their 20 overs. Shabnam Ismail was the only bowler with an economy under 7 as she ended up with the figures of 1/26 from her 4 overs.

Come the chase, the rain gods decided to spoil the good work done by the Sixers' batters. However, the umpires made the brave call to stay out there and make this an official contest as the Sydney Sixers ran through the first 5 overs, picking up 2 wickets in the process! It all looked gloomy for the Melbourne Renegades as they were left reeling at 38/5 after 7.2 overs.

However, Leeson and O Donnell had other ideas, as the duo brought their team back into the game through a 81 run stand which saw Leeson score a half-century (52 runs off 32 balls), while O Donnell played a supporting knock of 32 runs from 26 balls. Brown was the pick of the bowlers as she picked up 3/16 from her 4 overs, while Cheatle too chipped in with 3/28 from her 4 overs!

In the end the Sydney Sixers Women outclassed their opponents from Melbourne in all departments to claim the victory in this encounter!

19.2 L Cheatle to S Ismail
0 Over the wicket. Fuller ball outside the off stump. Gets on the front foot and pushes straight back to the bowler who gets a hand on the ball but drops the catch.

W Skies this one up in the air! Alyssa Healy is running forward, gets in front of the stumps and takes the catch! Round the wicket, a fuller delivery on the leg stump, goes big to hit in the on side but ends up skying this.
