This is it from the live coverage of this game with Trinbago Knight Riders Women winning the final by 10 runs and lifting the Inaugural Massy WCPL trophy 2022. That’s it for today from myself Nikhil Kalla alongside my co-commentator Tugral with our scorer/analyst Paras. See you soon again with more games to follow till then stay safe.

Deandra Dottin ( Trinbago Knight Riders Skipper ):"The big innings was definitely coming from myself but the key figure was 100 and we managed to defend it. To be honest, I am really proud of my team, The girls played amazing and we now have a moment to cherish forever being the champions of the Inaugral WCPL."
Hayley Matthews ( Skipper Barbados Royals ): "Yeah for sure I am disappointed. When an opponent posts just 100 on the board you have to end up chasing that down in a T-20 game. It is a massive step ahead in the Women's division with WCPL."
Player of the Match as well as Player of the Tournament:
Deandra Dottin ( Trinbago Knight Riders )
Time for the Presentation ceremony.
NIKHIL: Well, I reckon the togetherness that the Franchise has shown with the boys of TKR coming to the ground despite not having their game today just in order to support their Sister franchise means a lot and shows how good the franchise is being run.
Looks like we are having a rain delay for the Presentation ceremony. Dottin must be itching to get her hands on the first-ever Massy Women's CPL trophy.
Anisha Mohammed (TKR): "Yeah I cherish such moments and I said to the skipper whatever you need from me today I am up for it. I am really happy with my performance in this game today. I have been talking to a lot of younger players and just giving them my advice whenever they need it. Dottin is a really good and aggressive skipper and we just enjoy having a coach like such."
Natasha McLean (Trinbago Knight Riders): "We deserve this victory and we are really happy with this one. Dottin has been a class player and she has come out on top for us today."
Tugral: So, we are done here with Trinbago Knight Riders-W winning the game by 10 runs, as they restricted Barbados Royals-W to a total of 90 while chasing down a total of 100 which proved to be a bit too much for the Royals. With this win, TRK-W registered their win in the tournament. Trinbago Knight Riders Women are the winners of the inaugural edition of WCPL 2022.

The Barbados Royals started off in a dodgy manner as they lost Aaliyah Alleyne and Britney Cooper in the powerplay. Two of Barbados Royals Women's top batters were dismissed early in the innings as they managed only 28 runs in the powerplay. Hayley Matthews and Chloe-Lesleigh Tryon then built up a partnership of 20 runs for the 3rd wicket as Tryon departed to Anisa on an individual score of 7. Hayley Matthews was the top scorer with a score of 46 runs. Barbados Royals players will not be happy with their performance as none of the batters scored in double digits except the skipper. Due to this, it became very difficult for them to chase even a small target of 100 runs. In the end, suffered a defeat of 10 runs.

However, from the bowling side, after TRK-W got the first breakthrough, they did not give the BR-W team any chance to return to the match. Anisa Mohammad was an effective and impactful bowler throughout the innings. She was the pick of the bowlers for BR-W as she took three wickets and gave away 16 runs in her 4 overs. Grimmond, Jensen, and Luus took a couple of wickets respectively. TRK-W showed a great performance with bat and ball, whose reward they got at the end of the match.

Earlier in the day, the Trinbago Knight Riders started off in a dodgy manner. The best partnership of the innings was between Deandra Dottin and Kyshona Knight as they scored 32 runs together. Deandra Dottin was the top scorer with a score of 59 runs.

18.4 A Mohammed to M Mangru
W OUT!!! That's the game and what a fitting end to this game as it is Anisha Mohammed has scalped yet another wicket here. It has swung upside down in the space of 4 deliveries. Good length delivery wide of the off-stump, Mangru looks to push at this one but she has managed to find the gap in between the bat and pads and the stumps have been uprotted.
18.3 A Mohammed to S Selman
1 Fuller delivery in the middle, Selman has driven this towards long-on for a single.
NIKHIL: Just like that the win percentage for the Royals have dropped down to less then 10% now.
18.2 A Mohammed to Matthews
W OUT!!! Is this the game? Captain Matthews departs here. Anisa brings up the priced wickets of Matthews here. Good length delivery in the middle, Matthews has mistimed this into the hands of Glasgow at deep mid-wicket for a simple but a catch filled with the utmost pressure.
18.1 A Mohammed to S Selman
1lb Fuller delivery in the middle, Selman walks way down the track and misses the clip onto the pads as it deflects to the off-side. Leg byes signaled.
NIKHIL: It is all happening here. Misfield turned a couple to 4 runs and now Dottin failing to collect one and giving Selman yet another chance. With 13 needed of the last 2 overs I would surely back the Royals but let's see what happens as they have just 2 wickets left.
