These things happen and we have to take it under our chin. I am fine and getting there with my fitness. Yes, the next game against Barbados will be big and I take responsibility for this loss. We have to get our act together for the win hopefully in the next game."
Kieron Pollard, Trinbago Knight Riders Skipper: "I think they deserve a win. They have supported us and to get the win is for the fans. We spoke in the dressing room that runs on the board runs on the board. The guys were up for it and we haven't played well, lucky to get a win and carry it forward. I think we are looking forward to the Brian Lara Academy playing in front of that crowd. Just want to say a special mention to Sunil Narine for his spell. That was game-changing. The way Colin Munro played was amazing as well. He showed intent out there. Those are the biggest positives for us going forward to the next game at the Lara Academy."

Sunil Narine, Player of the Match: "Yes, the partnership was crucial and the plan was to get to deep a total as possible. The powerplay was important and we hung in there, the spinners then took over. The captain kept faith in us and we delivered. the dew was a challenge and I am happy to have delivered for my team. To the crowd, I would say keep supporting us and believing us. We haven't played our best cricket yet, and I hope we get to deliver in our remaining two home games here."

8:20 AM IST | That concludes the 18th group fixture of the Caribbean Premier League 2022 between the Guyana Amazon Warriors and the Trinbago Knight Riders. The Trinbago Knight Riders came out victorious by 26 runs and finally end their losing drought. The home crowd is on their feet.
In pursuit of 151 on a challenging surface, Guyana Amazon Warriors lost three wickets inside the powerplay. Paul Stirling departed for a duck as Daryn Dupavillon attained a wicket in his first over. Chandrapaul Hemraj and Colin Ingram were trying to stitch a partnership after an early loss of wicket but Rampaul got better off Hemraj 28 (17) with a short-pitched delivery. However, the quick pyrotechnics of Heinrich Klaasen 19 (6) at the stroke of powerplay helped Guyana go past 50 and laid the foundation for the forthcoming batters to complete the task.
However, Guyana kept losing constant wickets and could never make a comeback. They struggled against spin again, which has been their weakness for a long time and they were bundled for 124. Akeal Hosein dismantled the lower-middle order of Guyana and finished his figures on 3/36. Similarly, Andre Russell also grabbed three wickets by giving away just 16 runs. Sunil Narine (2/9) also bagged a couple of wickets each and helped Trinbago get past the line.
Before that, after being invited to bat first in the first innings, Trinbago Knight Riders were restricted to 150/8. The surface was not particularly easy when it comes to batting but a 51-run partnership between Colin Munro and Tim Seifert slowly started to turn the pendulum in favor of Trinbago. The Kiwi pair tackled Shamsi and Tahir exceptionally and kept on tapping for singles and doubles before Munro 42 (37) returned back to the pavilion trying to execute a sweep. Tabraiz Shamsi bagged the most wickets and finished his spell on 4/36, while Romario Shepherd also clinched 3 wickets by giving away just 22 runs.
Ultimately, Trinbago Knight Riders win this encounter by 26 runs, and they are boosted to the fourth position at the points table with 5 points. Stay tuned for the post-match presentation!
