St. Lucia Kings started off in a scintillating manner as both the openers took over the bowlers straight away. The Kings managed to score 77 for no loss in the powerplay. Charles and Faf batted well together for the First wicket partnership as they added 93 runs together. At one point 200 looked like a walk in the park but the bowlers of Guyana pulled it back nicely for them and restricted them to just 161 in 20 overs. Johnson Charles was the top scorer as he smashed 87 runs in just 59 deliveries.
For Guyana Amazon Warriors, Keemo Paul and Tabraiz Shamsi took a couple of wickets each. While Odean Smith, Motie, and Tahir took a wicket each.
In reply to the target set by the Kings, the Warriors started off in an aggressive manner as well as they scored 45 runs for the loss of 2 wickets. Shai Hope and Hemraj smashed the bowlers all around the park scoring a quick-fire partnership of 37 runs. Both the Openers Hope and Hemraj departed in the powerplay itself scoring 11 and 23 respectively. It was then up to Hetmyer and Klaasen who built up a good partnership of 66 runs that saw them get closer to the total set by Kings. Heinrich Klaasen was the top scorer for them as he scored 61 runs staying not out till the very end.
For St. Lucia Kings, Jeavor Royal took a couple of wickets. While Roston Chase and Williams took a wicket each today.
