That's it for today, This is Ishan signing off with my co-commentator Akshay along with our scorer/analyst Ashok. We will be back with all the live action, until next time Take Care, Cheers!
Kaushik Gandhi | Chepauk Super Gillies Skipper: "Very happy that's out we are here (in the finals), didn't get the good start in the tournament but have won last few games to be in the finals.  We stick with the process and we treat every game equally, sticking up on our strengths is important and that's what we try do every time "
R Sai Kishore | Player of the Match: "I was pretty prepared with what was going to come. So I was confident coming into this game. It was the learning from the last game. I didn’t take risks in my last game but I backed myself to hit sixes which suits my game. I tried to be smart while bowling as there was dew and I didn’t try to turn the ball."

R Sai Kishore is the Player of the Match.
Baba Indrajith | Nellai Royal Kings Skipper: "Definitely we were 10-15 runs short because the outfield was wet. We failed to create partnerships. Just when we kept going, we lost wickets. I was confident in him (Karthick Manikandan) and seeing his work ethic, happy to see him perform in a big game."

Time for the presentations.
23.24 IST: Chepauk Super Gillies are in the final of Tamil Nadu Premier League 2022, they deserved every bit of it, especially with the way they have played in the tournament. Even today, chasing 141 they were two down in the very first over of their innings despite that they have managed to pull off a win here at SCF Cricket Ground, Salem.
After winning a crucial toss, Super Gillies invited Nellai Royal Kings to bat first. In response, Royal Kings posted a challenging total of 140 with contributions from Baba Aparajith (33) Sanjay Yadav (21) and Shajahan (25 off 13 balls). In addition, they managed to scalp two wickets of Super Gillies in the very first over. They were in
all sorts of trouble, however, after that skipper, Kaushik Gandhi and Sai Kishor started counterattacking the Royal Kings' bowlers. The duo added 78 runs for the third wicket before Sai got dismissed on 43 (off 27 balls). He was soon joined by Sasidev in the dressing room but skipper Kaushik held the nerves from the other end for a while. After playing 46 deliveries for his 40 Kaushik also threw it away in an attempt of playing a big shot. The contest went down to the wire, however, the experienced campaigner Rajagopal Sathish (31* off 19 balls) showed all his experience and in the good company of Harish Kumar(13*), punched the ticket for the final for his side.
On the other hand, Super Gillies will get one more chance for securing the berth for the final as they finished the league stage in the top 2. They will now face Lyca Kovai Kings in qualifier 2 and whoever wins that contest will face Super Gillies in the final of TNPL 2022 on super Sunday (31 July). Hang on for the presentations folks.
19.2 N Harish to R Sathish
1 Sathish takes the aerial route, collects a single and takes his side to the final of TNPL 2022. Quicker delivery on the stumps, Sathish lifts it straight over mid off and the ball lands just inside the ropes and it doesn't race away to the fence due to the wet outfield. The batters complete a run to win the first qualifier by five wickets.
19.1 N Harish to R Sathish
0 Harish to bowl the final over. Flatter delivery on off, Sathish hits it hard straight to mid on. No run.
Akshay: 1 required off the final over now. I'm backing Sathish to finish this game with a six.

18.6 K Easwaran to H Kumar
0 Easwaran ends the over with a bumper and Kumar fails to connect on the pull.
18.5 K Easwaran to H Kumar
0 Short outside off, Kumar reaches out at it and gets it off the toe end of the bat towards mid off. No run.
18.4 K Easwaran to R Sathish
1 Banged in short and Sathish pulls it hard towards deep square leg for a single.
18.3 K Easwaran to R Sathish
4 Make that three in a row. Sathish is in a hurry to take his side to the final. A back of the hand slower delivery outside off, Sathish picks it up and smacks it over covers for the third boundary of the over.
18.2 K Easwaran to R Sathish
4 Back-to-back boundaries for Sathish. That should be the game for the Chepauk Super Gillies. Another slower delivery outside off, Sathish stays deep in his crease and swings at it and gets a thick outside edge in the gap between short third man and point for a boundary.
18.1 K Easwaran to R Sathish
4 FOUR!!!! Lucky boundary for Sathish. Another slower delivery outside off, Sathish swings hard at it and gets an outside edge that races away past short third man for a boundary. Just 10 required now.
18.1 K Easwaran to R Sathish
WD Sathish walks across the stumps and Easwaran bowls a slower delivery well outside off and wide is signaled by the umpire.
Akshay: 15 runs required from the last two overs. The good thing for the Super Gillies is that Sathish is on strike. Easwaran to bowl the penultimate over.
